What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this textured coating for its versatility across metal and outdoor applications—from truck beds to toolboxes, trailers, and lawn equipment. Most highlight excellent adhesion to clean surfaces, strong resistance to chipping and rust, and durability lasting years even under harsh conditions. Many appreciate the quick drying time and forgiving spray application that builds even finishes without runs. However, some report inconsistent spray performance, with certain cans failing to dispense or clogging mid-use. Despite these reliability issues, most customers find the product highly effective and worthwhile for diverse protective coating needs.

It worked like a Dream
It was a fresh can

It is thinner than expected, but easier to apply
Would RecommendThis spray is thinner than what I expected, but it worked great to give a rubberized texture to a steel ladder I fabricated on the back of a bus conversion

Barely a coating
Would Not RecommendDisappointing application and results. Yes, I know how to clean/prep/apply coatings. Even with good temperatures and shaking thoroughly, this stuff is spotty at best. The spray frequently goes to just aerosol/solvent, leaving the coating itself behind in the can. Final coating can end up splotchy and inconsistent. I've also had a can just completely quit, which is maddening in the middle of spraying an area. What's interesting is that I think Rustoleum makes Harbor Freight brand truck bed coatin...

Truck bed liner texture is awesome!
Would RecommendThis is truly a miracle in a can. As a truck bed liner, it's 100% useless, but as a texture to metal surfaces that need that clean, textured look, it's amazing. I use it to restore parts that are rusted, scratches, or deeply pitted. Sand the big stuff and old paint chips off the metal parts, then apply two coats of this. It's not a truck bed liner, so don't expect it to perform as such, but it is a cool way to give new life to old, metal things.

Needs a couple coats on shiny aluminum.
Would RecommendWorked well sprayed pretty even. I thought it would be a thicker coating but it does add grip as discribed.

Tough paint
Would RecommendThis spray is easy to use and durable. It is not great as a true 2K bed liner, but is good for covering steel that is exposed to weather, and has a textured finish that helps prevent slipping when wet. I have used it for many outdoor projects. It is easy to touch up when damaged.
