Would RecommendWe bought this a month ago and we are so happy we chose the thicker drywall. It is much heavier than the regular one, but it is a better quality and safe.

R12 batts received
Would Not RecommendIt seems like good insulation. Unfortunately when I opened the package, half of the batts were marked as R12. Lowes is going to make it right, but dealing with the return is an added inconvenience. That's the last thing anyone needs when doing projects.

Great option
Would RecommendNot as itchy as fiberglass and easier to manage however, I've been told there is eventual compression throughout the years but haven't experienced.

Better than fiberglass.
Would RecommendThis wall insulation is not too dusty and better for breathing that fiberglass. It seems to be a good sound dampener. Do wear a mask when working though, any rock dust can't be that good for the lungs. Nice to know it is practically fireproof though the studs may burn around it.
