Easy to cut and install.
Would RecommendSuper easy to cut and install. Perfect for 2x4 framing 16” on center. Better R value than spun fiberglass insulation.

Excellent, much better than thermafiber
Would RecommendMuch MUCH easier to work with than thermafiber. Far less dust, far less irritation in eyes, skin and respiratory.

Irritant, more expensive, but better...?
Would RecommendSame price and coverage as the sound version but thinner. Why use the sound version? This was my first time using RW, I usually use fiberglass. I was installing primarily for sound reduction. I was told that it's better than fiberglass. Worst part is that it's way more itchy than modern fiberglass, so extra precautions are needed.

I will never use pink stuff again
Would RecommendI found this product so easy to work with. It was easily cut with old electric knife. It did not make me itchy.

Better than fiberglass
Better than fiberglass, fireproof, waterproof, dense for sound and easy to work with.

Horrible to work with
Would Not RecommendLike some of the other reviewers have said the density is cotton candy like .. as bad as fiberglass but falls apart , will not stay in the bays , cant cut it because it literaly falls apart. I used this product 5 or 6 years ago and loved it. I thought maybe the others that had written poor reviews were a one off . Never again...

On the way down
Would Not RecommendThis brand has gone down considerably in quality the last few years. Half the batts are stiff and half are like wet noodles and fall apart easily if not handled properly. I have already contacted the Rockwool customer service about the problem and like most big companies you get a generic response which does not really address the issue with this product. I would look for alternative products from another brand which is similar in the future.

What more would you want?
Would RecommendRockwool is a great product. Easy to use, cuts with a bread knife, stays in place and easy to use. Fireproof, water resistant, and sound insulated denseness.

Excellent Product
Would RecommendIt works great and really helps defray sound as well as insulate- easy to use

Easy to work with. It's recommended to cut it with a knife so bought a butcher knife from the dollar store to cut it - worked great.

Fire resistant insulation
Would RecommendI needed to seal air gaps under my metal roof to prevent embers from entering the attic. This easily can be torn into small bunches to be stuffed into areas. It will melt when exposed to a propane torch, but will not ignite as it is not flammable.
