What Customers Are Saying
The poplar boards are generally of good quality, with many customers praising the straightness, flatness, and lack of defects in the wood. The boards were easy to work with, produced a nice finish, and were suitable for a variety of DIY projects. However, some customers had to sort through multiple boards to find the few that were straight and defect-free, and a few mentioned variations in thickness. While a small number of reviewers found the boards to be of poor quality, the majority were satisfied, finding the wood easy to stain and finish, with consistent grain patterns and a lack of knots.

Would RecommendThe wood is decent at lowes. Just need to be selective to ensure pieces are not warped

Good Wood For Good Results
I do quite a bit of woodworking, and when a project calls for hard woods -- like maple, poplar, or oak -- I need good, straight, kiln-dried wood that has finished on all four sides. I don't have the time or tools to do finish the wood myself. I know the wood I get a Lowe's will meet the specifications.

Otherwise the quality was good.
just wish that 1 x 3 didn't end up being 3/4 x 2 1/2

Lumber is SOOOOOO expensive.
Would RecommendBoards were square, not warped, and had some interesting grain patterns. But why is lumber so expensive? Is everybody gouging us now?

It's wood!
Would RecommendIt was woody and mostly straight. The board cut easy ( with wood tools ) and it worked for the wood project that I purchased it for.
