Would RecommendAfter having my mailbox post (wooden) destroyed, four times, I decided to invest in this. I must say, the assembly only took about 20 minutes. (I am slow) It was easy to install on the 4x4 I had. (Bought separately) it is very sturdy and I have the locking mailbox (people stealing mail) and it looks wonderful. The postman loves it, he doesn't have to reach down on my mailbox anymore. It's perfectly set at 45" from the ground. Best money I ever spent!

Would Not RecommendBeautiful mailbox post, but there is missing hardware. Couldn't be installed until we bought the missing pieces. Also the pieces they did provide were glued underneath the tape, so it took over an hour to actually be able to use them. Such a hassle for something that should be easily provided given the price.

Would RecommendSet over 4x4 post, height anywhere from bottom screw holes to box post insert. Higher the better but doesn't matter. Minor assembly. I would buy or use stainless machine screws for the metal and deck screws for the post, though it does come with all the hardware but it looks cheap. Only time will tell if the steel holds up. Only 4 of 5 because screws are cheap. I suggest silicone around all joints and screws.

Would RecommendLiked the quality and size of mailbox; and it's a nice looking product. I was told I had the best looking mailbox in my community.
Finish is nice and assembly is straightforward. The issue is the hardware , if your drilling into the post the holes aren’t big enough for the screws provided. The screws are cheap get better wood screws to mount to the post otherwise they strip with any pressure applied.

Would RecommendThe post is easy to assemble (BYO 4x4), and looks great and seems sturdy! It is a bit of a challenge to get the mailbox mounted with spacers and tiny nuts - put a sheet under your work for likely drops. But, the bigger annoyance is the low quality wood screws - don't bother using your drill or impact driver to install these unless you have a proper hole drilled - the steel is too soft to take the torque.
The post and arm is fine but the box mount sucks.

Would RecommendExcellent product,except:one thing! The small square mounting support between the post arm and the box platform is not large enough for bigger boxes. A large box will rock downward when the box door is opened. A support at the rear of the box will stabilize any movement.
