Great roller for water-based poly application

The product was as described and led well during the entire process. There was some lint that I had to remove prior to the beginning of the job. Strongly recommend.

Items were delivered promptly and just what I ordered.

NOT Very Smooth

Very disappointed. The roller left blue lint/fibers and huge paint ripples. Will never buy again, it was a waste of money. I should have read the reviews first. The lint/roller fibers seem to be a problem.

Best mini mirror finish roller

This is hands down the best mini roller for clear high gloss finish you can buy in box store . Purdy quality control is much better than most . Always hit ur roller with a soft brush before loading with product . If you keep a wet edge and full roller it will level off to mirror finish everytime . I have found it does not work well with latex products without the use of fluid flow addition to paint.

Lint lint lint

Left green lint all over the latex paint - after I delinted the roller two times with painters tape. Worst roller cover I've ever used. Should have read the reviews first.

lots of green thread linting

purchased for interior door project which required priming prior to applying urethane paint. the linting was terrible, leaving green threads all over the primer coats requiring additional sanding.

Lint

Used this roller because we wanted a super smooth finish on the final coat of a desk, we ended up with blue/green lint in the white paint on all surfaces. We should have stuck with the Wooster roller we used for the first coat, we now need to sand down and recoat to repair after using this Purdy roller.

Worked great for oil based marine spar urethane

Works as advertised. Used a high quality ultra soft brush to apply spar urethane and still had brush strokes. Be thorough with the delinting (rolled over painters tape as another reviewer recommended) and you will have a superior result.

Worst roller I’ve ever used. The fabric would separate along the seem and create marks on the wall. I would not suggest using this roller

Lint fibers were a deal breaker

I normally like Purdy products but this was not a good experience. I delinted with masking tape, washed and delinted again. Still ended up with Lint on my cabinet doors. This was a 3rd and final coat which I now need to sand I repaint. I used a different brand mohair blend roller for first two coats with much better results with almost no lint. Purdy=Quality

Buying Purdy products truly is about quality. This roller pad was expensive but it worked perfectly for my needs and I will be able to reuse the roller which is not usually the case with lesser brand products.

Full of Lint

I had to paint some desktop's and I wanted a smooth finish so I got the Parrot rollers hoping for a very smooth finish. First thing I did was de-lint the roller covers. Then I washed the rollers and de-lint the rollers again. I was using a semi-gloss paint. I started painting the desktop's and all I see is lint in the paint as I'm rolling. I had to stop and let the paint dry and then sand the desktop's again and primer the desktop's again. Now I have to find a different roller that will have a v...

Work great as expected. Good brand with good results.

Not for furniture projects

Disappointed with these 1/4" nap roller covers. Refinishing a table and chairs and it left hairs in the paint. Never saw anything like it. I paid a premium for these rollers. Anyway, I had to re-sand everything I painted. I'll return the ones I did not use.
