I saw these on "This Old House" Tv show. The whole concept of how these vents keep the air flowing made good sense. So I installed them when I cleaned up my attic and removed the 50 year old insulation, and had new fiberglass insulation put in. They work great and keep the vents open / unclogged.

Would RecommendRafter vents were straightforward to install between rafter beams and were durable through the stapling process. Modifying them for non-standard widths (8 inch rafter width) proved less straightforward as they did not easily collapse to smaller widths if cut in half. It took a few different tries to get a shape that worked for non-standard widths.

Would RecommendI installed these to go behind insultion above a knee wall. No problems at all. I cut them with just a regular pair of scissors to go around obstacles. In places where i needed a longer length they fit together really well. I put mineral wool insulation over them and they did exactly what they were supposed to. Each length was the same length of a mineral wool bat.
