Would RecommendShortest length is 12” double female ended rod, but with 6” sections is variable at 6” intervals. Top allows for some tilting on uneven. surface, didn’t test the range. Assembly diagram and instructions were meager. Remember the double ended first. The sleeve to protect the wiring as it goes to the mount on top is easily dislodged during assembly. Very nice little light for the money.
