Ratings & Reviews for Project Source Adjustable Color Temperature 15-in Nickel Indoor LED Flush Mount Light with Plastic Shade

The twist and lock type mount was a pain.

Price and style

Impossible to Install

Fell down the first night I installed, when I tried to reinstall all of the tabs would not engage into the slots. The bracket needs to be backed off of the junction box, which makes it all wobbly. Terrible design. Bought a similar model from a different company at another box store that was much easier to install.

Adjustable brightness, stylish.

Excellent value & product. Low price but doesn't look cheap. Easy install. Not an issue, but doesn't come with electrical wire connector caps or screws so I just used existing.

Great

The depth of it. It allows cabinet doors to open without bumping it.

Avoid this product

I bought this as a replacement for one that went out. I installed 8 of these in my mom's house a couple years ago. Price has gone up a lot since then. If I'd known ahead of time I would not have bought them.

Simple design, led unit embedded

Liked the ability to set lighting type. Good price, simple design. Didn't like the led panel was not appear to be exposed, therefore when it dies, probably have to replace whole unit.

Poor QC overall

We bought a new construction home about 2 years ago and these lights were installed in all 4 bedrooms. In three on the bedrooms the lights flicker constantly and in the only bedroom it didn't flicker it just completely died after 1.5 years of very minimal use. Also since we didn't install them I was unaware what the model was and didn't know you could change the temperature of the light. Save your money and get a better quality light fixture.

Impossible to Install

I would give this light a zero if that were available. These lights are the most frustrating patience-testing thing I have ever tried to install. It's virtually impossible to line up the tabs and twist into place. You're doing it completely blind. I would never, ever buy these again.

Poor mount

The mounting plate has sharp edges that will easily take insulation off wires. My ceiling is flat and could not get the mount to twist on. Gave up on this poorly designed light. Returned.

Having to replace the same item

This purchase is a replacement for the same product. I am rather disappointed that the first one is having flicker/color temp issues. It is several years old, but I would expect a longer life. If it wasn’t for the fact that it matches another fixture in the space, I would have considered another product. I like the look, the output, and the installation method, just had hope for no problems at this Point.

Light flickers

Light flickered like crazy when installed. I tried every color light option and they all did the same thing.

Impossible to install

Only install if you have 4 arms and eyes that can be flush with the ceiling. You have to hold this over your head and connect the wires together at the same time while the light is dangling from the ceiling. Then you have to push the light up against the ceiling and try to find the mount points that are out of your view. Since the color control is between the light and ceiling you better be happy with the color you chose or you will have to do this all over again. I am returning it.

Keeps falling

I assume the tiny vibrations of people walking upstairs slowly moves the light fixture from its tiny base, this thing has fallen about once per month now, but too late to return it so there went 60 bucks. Off to the store to get something more secure.

Good, but included screws are small.

Super easy to install looks good, the custom light temperature is nice. The included screws are small and didn't fit my box.

Difficult Install

First, the switch for different modes is underneath the light fixture. This is a really poor design. Second, you have to twist the fixture on a metal bracket to get it to mount flush. It is extremely difficult and frustration attempting this multiple times and dies not twist on snug or snap. It marks your ceiling while doing this. This makes you never want to remove it to change the settings.

Fabulous light, inexpensive, modern and understated.

Dangerous Fire Possible

I have 2 of these installed 2 years ago. one just recently got very bright and went out. There was smoke and a burned smell. luckily I was home and quickly pulled it down. The control burned out, melting the plastic above it. I've removed the other light. Installation your own risk.

Great light to replace the old boob lights.

Easy install and great quality. Goes up easy and is plenty bright.

simple light with easy installation
