Better than painted MDF
Would RecommendThe MDF board under our sink was gross beyond description and finally the accumulation of grease, mold, and chemicals forced us to rip it out and put something else in. The melamine boards Lowe's had in stock were not pristine, but we didn't need them to be. The most important thing was the solid layer of waterproof coating that will hopefully allow us to keep our sink area clean and keep it from getting so stinky and gross again!

Would Not RecommendThe board was all chewed up and each corner of the board had pieces of the board missing. It was gouged and the side trimming was halfway falling off the board. Almost the full lengths of the sides of the board were all dented, rough and I sliced my finger on a piece of the board that had splintered. It looked liked the board had been dropped on a hard surface several times. The size was perfect but it was a very damaged board on all sides. Pre-laminated and very affordable.
Would RecommendWhen we remodled our bathroom, I wanted to convert a knee space under the countertop into more shelving space, this shelving comes pre-lamintated in white and was easy to cut to fit the size opening we had. My contractor even used a portion of the scraps as supports to hold the shelf into place.
