I needed a custom cut shelf for my garage unit. It was so easy to select the board and bring it to the young fellow named Khaan in Osprey Lowe’s who cut it perfectly! He was helpful and talented - a great asset to Lowe’s.

Almost zero tear out on table saw.

I used this melamine to make custom shelves. What I'm most impressed with is the cleanliness of the table saw, band saw, and flush trim router cuts. There was almost zero tear out. I used an 80 tooth Dewalt blade on my Dewalt 8 1/4" table saw and taped every cut. Similarly, the melamine cut clean on the band saw. After making a template, I used a Ryobi hand held router and a flush trim bit to match the template. Again, almost zero tear out. I was only trimming about 1/16th of an inch but ...

Not Perfect But Usable

While this will work for my purposes, I was dismayed to see that all 4 sides were just bare press-board. I’m used to the edges being finished. No problems as adding my own edging went well. However, the melamine is chipped all around the edges on both sides. Neither side of the two boards I bought has a “good” side. For the price, I can overlook it, but I’d really like to have a nice smooth surface without having to find actual lumber in this size. I also found it odd that it was only .65-...

Damaged Shelf

The product arrived damaged, and frankly, I’m appalled by the lack of care in packaging. The shelf was entirely unprotected, making it inevitable that it would be battered during shipping—likely tossed around the back of a trailer for over a thousand miles. This reflects a serious oversight in quality control and a disregard for customer experience. It is unacceptable for any retailer, especially one of Lowe’s stature, to ship items in such a negligent manner. Customers should not have to tolera...

Excellent Shelving Material

This product was reasonably priced and easy to use. The formica surface made excellent shelving for my garage.

Ordered Qty 3, received two that were 3/4" thick with melamine covered edges and one 0.6" thick with bare edges!!! Went to return the one a discovered that 'new stock' is 0.6" thick with vare edges...
