Disappointed under floor pad

I thought it was going to be a easy job, but right from the start I was confused. When I tried to unroll it the plastic that was on one side started to rip. It was to stiff

Great for sound

Really enjoyed working with the product. Heavy duty amd very user friendly. Cuts easily on both straight amd angled cuts. Makes a huge difference for sound and shock.

Easy to work with

I bought a fixer upper trailer and am doing a lot of the work myself. I ripped out all the very old carpeting and linoleum and decided to do Vinyl Plank. I've never done this before or used underlayment but I found this at lowes and it us very easy to work with. There is an adhesive strip that helps hold it down and it cuts really easy around the door jamb. Can't wait to get this finished

Thin, but effective

I just had carpets removed and luxury vinyl planking installed. A sales rep said I didn't need the underlayment with the LVP I purchased. Since this product was available to me, I used it in one room and I do believe the sound is absorbed more with this underlayment in place. I would have preferred more specific and explanatory instructions, possibly with illustrations, as I was quite unfamiliar with this type of product.

Floor Underlay Review

Floor underlay blocked some of them noise from the second floor. It also provided the floor with a more cushioned feel. I think it works great for a second floor soundproofing and cushion. It would work well for first floor cushion and comfort.

Works perfect

I am using this to make a seal between the speaker and cabinet for a guitar amp. Perfect. Material is easy to work with, makes a good seal, and is exactly what I needed. Most material was too thick and this came out just right. I know it may not be the intended use, but it works perfect for my job.

Little over priced

I’ve done a good amount of flooring and have used different underlayments. I have an addition over my garage where I am installing flooring. There is some installation but cold air is coming up in on floor seam. I noticed this blocked the cold from coming through. There’s a good amount of overlap which makes it easy to install. Not much padding to it but it helps with sound also. Over all I would use it again.

Quality underlayment

We had just been putting moisture barrier down for the majority of the LVP tile install but wanted a little more sound proofing in the laundry room. This underlayment fit the bill perfectly. Easy to lay out and install over, giving us a nice finished product!

Flooring Underlayment

Having laid several floors and using a variety of underlayment products, this product is thicker, easier to use than lighter weight products. If laid appropriately, it should provide moisture and sound protection, vapor barrier and adequate cushion under laminate, LVP or on top of concrete. The built-in lip and adhesive strip makes for easier installment. The strength of this product will make it useful for other applications.

A Must Have for Do-It-Yourselfer's

I found out a lot of things when putting down an underlayment and it's not that simple for concrete floors. Moisture is the key to controlling seepage from your concrete floor and should be tested first to determine what's best for your situation. A lot of things to consider and one of them is the type of flooring you're planning to use, the "R" value, and the thickness of the underlayment. Take your time and don't be in a rush to finish, this will make the floor replacement worth the effort. F...

Does the job.

The underlayment was used for a barrier between cement and laminated wood flooring. So far so good. I will see how effective it is in the spring, when condensation from the thaw comes around. Then a review would be more accurate.

Underlayment

I have installed this type of flooring several times and always use underlayment. This doesn't appear to be the foil type but isn't whimpy either. It's just underlayment not rocket science.

Great features

This product is easy to install, and lays flat on the wood floor. The adhesive tape is a bonus to prevent movement. It provides a cushion to the wood floor which will be wonderful under the LVP flooring. However, it doesn't seem to provide as much sound barrier as I had hoped.

Flooring underlayment

This looks to be a very good product. Nice and thick with overlapping plastic lining with self adhesive strips. This will make a really nice vapor barrier for you project. Very easy to cut and get it laid down where it needs to be.

Flooring underlayment

Was so pleased to receive this flooring underlayment as we are replacing flooring in several rooms. It looks to be durable and high quality and easy to place. And this is the perfect amount for one small room. Unfortunately our plans have been delayed so will have to update this review when completed. in the meantime will purchase additional for the other rooms and possibly some from another brand to compare.

Looks Great!

This came at a great time. One of our daughters is planning to replace the laminate flooring in one of her rooms. This looks to be thinker than described. We are looking forward to installing it.

Quiet

I've used several different underlayers when installing laminate flooring and I would rate this as better than average. For the price it is as good as you'll get. It is quieter than the cheapest and doesn't cost much more. I feel like it will allow for the laminate to last longer since it appears to be more durable than the cheaper underlayment.

Good product

I am currently working on a whole house renovation project and I wanted to purchase the very best quality items for this home as it is for my dad who has cancer. I found the USA made product that has an R rating of 4 and is 1mm thick faom which is very good for 1mm and is easy to install. It comes in 3.3 foot section rolls style so it doesn't want to lay flat right out of the package but the small rolls make it easy to handle.
