I purchased two sets of these and installed them according to the (rather poor) directions. It was really challenging to get them to snap into the brackets and then once I had them installed, they just hung there limply and there was no way to get them to go up. I called customer service and they just told me to "push them up gently and evening from below" and seemed to have no concept of how they were supposed to work. I don't know what mechanism makes them go up without cords but the two sets ...
