What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise these lag screws for exceptional holding power and reliability in demanding wood projects, with nearly 9 in 10 expressing strong satisfaction. Reviewers consistently highlight superior grip, aggressive threads, and the Torx drive system that prevents stripping and enables smooth installation with impact drivers. Many report successfully securing heavy components like 4x4s, deck beams, and mounts supporting over 1,000 lbs without movement. While most users install without pre-drilling, some note that dense or treated wood benefits from pilot holes and proper technique. A few mention higher pricing compared to alternatives, though most consider the performance worth the investment.

Would RecommendHolds great. Used these on our basement stair railing to hold the posts to the stringer. Even though screw has a self drilling feature, I had to drill a pilot hole the help get it started and also to help get it all the way into the boards. It will take an impact drill to get one of this length into the wood and is still difficult. The only real negative is the cost but I did not need many for this job.

Best again
Would RecommendNOT "Irritated Customer" this time. Having used this type lag screw before, I have now used additional of same to secure treated plywood deck onto treated 2x4 joists of ramp that I built into our storage building. They are available in various lengths, have superior thread with self-drilling tip (although drilling pilot hole prevents splitting wood member), and torx-type head allows plenty of torque for tightening.

Secured floor joists with ease
Would RecommendIn repairing subfloor damage in our bathroom, I needed to add extra support for laying the new plywood subfloor. I used a handful of these to strap together treated 2x8's to the existing joists. The finish was uniform and the cutting threads sharp, allowing the screws to bite and cut quickly into the wood without pre-drilling pilot holes, and the Torx-30 design guaranteed a fast, slip-free drive to the finish. Ceramic finish coating for use in outdoor and treated-wood applications. Definitely ea...

Good alternative
Would RecommendGood alternative to galvanized lag bolt in some applications. Make sure you have the correct star bit, otherwise it will not grip and may strip the head when you put some torque on it.

Gets the job done easily
Would RecommendThese screws are so much easier to use than traditional lags. No predrilling, just throw on the end of an impact and go. They are good quality steel and have an easy, no slip star head. Saved me a lot of time when building deck and stairs.

Perfect for my project
Would RecommendI needed a way to secure the base of my gazebo to my deck. Since there would be no way to get under the deck and use a nut, this was recommended. It also saved the step of drilling a hole first as the screw is self-tapping. Worked great!

Used instead of 1way's
Would RecommendDo not recommend 1way security lags...I know its a matter of security but these are easier to install and can be removed if need be, but need power tools and makes crazy noise, and lets face it if people show up w/power tools to rob your house then they gonna get what they came for.

Excellent for use as a Tent Peg
Would RecommendThis product is used by me most often as a tent peg or to hold down something in the ground. During this past winter while in Florida, we had a wind gust of 86 mph and a hanging plant stand did not fall over when being held down by three of these screws. Ofcourse, this is not what they are designed for, but they also work great for screwing large timbers together, after you have predrilled the holes for them.

GARAGE CONSTRUCTION REINFORCEMENT
Would RecommendThis Lag Screw and the others work perfect for my project to re-support my Garage and replace sagging beams. I am now able to use Advanced Framing techniques to build most of the interior and supports. Definitely a value over purchasing Truss screws and components from other manufacturers.
Best Lag Bolt I Ever Used
Would RecommendA little expensive, but worth every penny. I used 4 of these to hang an articulating television wall mount. The TV (50 inch Hitachi plasma) weighs 117 pounds, and I really didn't want it to take a big crash. I had to go through 2 inches of wallboard and furring strips before I hit the studs, so the length of these was perfect as I wanted as much penetration into the studs without going all the way through. These things are the best thing since sliced bread...screwed into studs very easily with a...

Absolutely great lag screw...
Would RecommendThis is one of the best lag screws on the market. Very easy to use, and will pull treated lumber up tight without just pulling through the wood. Also I haven't had one strip like lags sometimes do.
lag bolt is excellent
Would RecommendIf you need to secure heavy lumber this will do the job
Worlds Toughest Lag Bolt
Would RecommendI used these lag bolts to bolt 2x4s to my garage wall to build wooden shelves. They powered through the studs with ease and the benefit of these having Torx heads mean that I was able to power these into the wall with ease. In the end, I was able to have over 1000lbs of load on my shelves with a few hundred pound of load to spare. The finish also ensures they will not rust. This lag is worth every penny.
good use in hard wood
Would RecommendWorks very well when lagging hard dense wood to poles. Drills itself and seats very well. must use a 1/2 inch drill with plenty of torque. used this while lagging oak to pressure treaded poles in a post construction barn
Star lag screw
Would RecommendVery good product with a impact drive will drive clear through any piece of pressure treated lumber rock solid connection Ive used 3" to 6" both without a problem
