Would RecommendI used this to replace the mailbox post that had broken in half from the weight of the previous mailbox. I had 34" of post above ground left and that was more than enough to mount this post (really a cover) and mailbox. It was easy to put the mailbox on the mount and then on the post. I used a regular Phillips screwdriver and not a drill as the instructions showed so don't feel you have to have a drill but it may make it easier to screw together. It took me about 15 min to do the entire thing an...
No brainer
Would RecommendIt seems to be well made and able to stand the elements. But, even that being a plus, it's way overpriced for just being molded PVC and you still have to but the 4x4. $50 bucks not counting the mailbox, 20 minutes and it's done!

Great Post
Would RecommendCame just as advertised. It fit perfectly over the 4x4 post and all the necessary screws were there. I used the old mailbox and had no problems with installation at all. Now I have a sturdier and more weather resistant post and I'm happy.

Great pole cover!!
Would Recommend--Great quality, price, easy assembly and made in USA. It wraps easily around a treated 4x4 that is driven or cemented into ground.

Very Attractive
Would RecommendIt turned out just as I pictured it. We already had a silver mail box, a 8x4x4 post, and a post anchor. This post cover really brought it together. I did run the post all the way to the top so that it is very sturdy. The numbers are 4" and reflective.
Easy to do!
Would RecommendEasy do it yourself install. Just need a post to put in the ground to secure it to. I had some extra cement mix lying around so it's that much more secure, but not needed. Mailman says it's a perfect height.

missing screws
Just setting it up now so we're not entirely sure yet what the quality and longevity of this product is yet but only giving it 3 stars for missing parts. We've got extra screws in our workshop thankfully to be able to set it up and not have to wait to contact the store or the maker for what's needed. Frustrating and disappointing when you're all set up to get the job done on your day off.
Nice curb appeal upgrade and good $ value
Would RecommendThis was the least expensive/nicest upgrade to an existing 4x4 mailbox post I could find. Most others are $40+. It instantly gave a nice curb appeal to the mailbox/property. Installation was EZ! I mostly ignored the instructions...how I installed this unit: 1) Pulled out the vertical post portion and laid it next to my 4x4 post. Had about 48" existing, so drew a pencil mark just under the top part of the new vertical cover. Marked that line around the post using a torpedo level. 2) Cut that line...
Great Product
Would RecommendThis does a wonderful job, it is made to slide down over a pressure treated 4x4 post. I left more post above the ground than the instructions said for better support. It has all the hardware to install it on the post & to mount the mailbox on it. It’s easy to install and I LOVE that it’s MADE IN THE USA!

Love it
Would RecommendMy old wood post mailbox had an arm that fit into the post for the mailbox and it was rickety. I chopped off the wood post on old mailbox at the arm and slipped this over the top. Screws were hard to get started but I got it done. (50yr old female)
Mailbox Post replacement
Would RecommendA great over the post Mailbox Post. Saved me from having to dig out the old post and replace the cement, just drop this Postal Pro Black Mailbox Post over the remains of the current post (30" left) and I was done. The box plate is also a great feature with only four screws and your done.
Okay for the price
Would RecommendWe purchased this in a hurry because someone hit our wooden post ensemble and it was not entirely repairable. The upright wooden post was still intact so we opted for this since we could cut off the damaged part of our wooden post and simply slip this one over. Well, not so fast. Yes, it did slip right over, but it is loose and we are working on stabilizing it. The second glitch is that our oversized mailbox was too big for the provided box support. In order to use our box, we had to att...
Nice product for mailbox post cover
Would RecommendI like that I can install the mailbox of my choice on top. It looks really good. The bracket on top that the mailbox attaches to is a separate piece (included). It is the right height for level ground, but no adjustment for above or below grade installation. The instructions say to use a 4 foot post, but I disagree because it will not go to the top of the post cover. Then, the screws that hold the bracket on top will not find the post and will only bite into the thin plastic cover. That ca...
Very Nice and Sturdy
Would RecommendVery nice, sturdy post that looks like the much more expensive architectural metal posts. Definitely worth installing and the price can't be beat. It is exceptionally sturdy if you DO NOT follow the instructions. Following the instructions, it is somewhat flimsy and obviously plastic if touched. The instructions state to bury a 4x4 post 18" in the ground and leave 30" protruding. That leaves only 4 screws that are only 1" long attaching the mailbox post to the 4x4, and the mailbox itself is atta...
Black Plastic Mailbox Post
Would RecommendThe post has a nice look and slips over a 4x4 post. When matched with a plastic mailbox it has a great look and is rust free. It was very easy to install but beware the directions call for a 4 foot 4x4 post but it actually takes a 5 foot post to reach the very top of the inside of the plastic post. I think it must be a typo.

Cheap
Would Not RecommendThis product is cheaply made. The seam is very noticeable and the paint is uneven.

Nice! (For Plastic!)
Would RecommendLooks better from afar but none-the-less, is a good-looking mailbox post. Hope it lasts for a few years.
