What Customers Are Saying
The spline roller tool is a low-quality, plastic product that is not suitable for frequent or heavy-duty use. Many customers reported that the plastic components quickly wore out, broke, or became damaged after just a few uses. The tool is described as flimsy, unstable, and prone to causing injuries and damage. However, some customers found it adequate for occasional, light-duty use, noting it was easy to use and got the job done, considering the low price. Overall, a higher-quality metal and wood tool would likely perform better and last longer, especially for frequent screen repair work.

Would Not RecommendI bought this to rescreen a screen door. The tool tracks were warped and damaged after the first section. I ended up ordering a better screen rolling tool online. Threw this one away.
No No No
Would Not RecommendThis tool isn't the RIGHT TOOL for this job. It took 2 hours to do one screen replacement. I went and borrowed my son-in-laws metal roller and it took 30 minutes. Don't but it!

Nearly Useless
Would Not RecommendProduct failed not even a quarter of the way through the first screen and ruined the brand new screen being installed.
Cheap Plastic
Would Not RecommendShould offer a choice of zero stars because that is what this deserves. Cheap plastic tool that does not last. The wheels wear out and break off before you even get part of one side finished. Lowe's should offer a better quality spline roller. Definitely returning it for refund. Once again, glad there are other choices.
Great tool!
Would RecommendThis is a needed tool for replacing screen. Easy to work with, made the job replacing the screen in my patio slide door go by quickly. I removed a star due to the wheel with the curve in it was missing a notch of plastic. It did not affect operating the tool though. It was just a cosmetic issue. This tool is a must for Do it yourself people!
POS
Would Not RecommendThis thing is junk! Very unfortunate that it was the only thing in stock.
Don't waste the money
Would Not RecommendThis may work if you only have one screen to replace, but I can tell you the plastic wheel was mutilated before I finished one 36×48 frame. Spend a few extra dollars for the upgraded one that works like a dream.
Worth maybe $.20
Would Not RecommendCheap plastic. End wheels very wobbly. I recommend ordering Lowe’s wooden handled version of this tool, which only seems to be available via shipping methods.
get a metal one
Would Not RecommendIVe done three windows and the wheels are already bent up.
Screen tool
Would Not RecommendProduct doesn't hold up well under pressure. The sides of the roller tend to wear down easily.
sad excuse
Would Not Recommendtool was used once to for one window plastic was cheap and coming apart. wheel became disfigured I wouldn't use it again for free

Worked
Would RecommendJust needed it to repair one large section of a screened porch. For a few bucks it worked just fine. For larger jobs you might want to spend a bit more for a better constructed one.

You get what you pay for
Would Not RecommendThis is a very very cheap tool. The plastic grooved wheel broke most of its lips off when I redid just 1 screen. Made in Mexico.
It's fine for around the home.
Would RecommendI don't understand all of the reviews about how it does not work with fiberglass screen. It works if you have the correct size spline and you take your time and put the spline in the correct way and not try to force it in like Rambo. Now aluminum screen I do not know, so I can't say. As for the jagged edges sticking out on the plastic wheels, trim it off with a utility knife. If you plan on using this on the job and doing screens daily as a screen repairman or even weekly or monthly as a handyma...

Does the job but won't last long
Would Not RecommendThis tool will do the job but the plastic parts are easily damaged and wear out fast. Good for maybe three screen replacements before the tool is too worn out to be useful. If you only need to replace a screen or two it's a good buy but if you need more, or just want a tool that will last I wouldn't recommend it.

Absolute garbage
Would Not RecommendThe plait wheel wears out before you get one side done. This allows it to break through and ruin the new screen.
Junk, Junk, Junk
Would Not RecommendThis piece of #$@! should not be sold. It is all plastic and it is shredded by aluminum screening. Furthermore, the wheels are so loose on their axles that the wheel will go off track and punch a hole in your screen. By a better tool than this one.
one time use
Would Not RecommendI prescreened 7 total screens for my house and this thing is destroyed. I would spend the extra money for a better one.
