Perfect Solution

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had some areas beside my house that grass really never grew good and decided to try this in those spots. It grew better tgan any other kind I've tried and the spots looks alot better with actual grass there now.

Great seed mix

A lot of growth in just 9 days

Works great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dense shade smart seed mix works great on areas where grass doesn't grow well, such as around really bushy trees. It also works really well on bald spots in the yard. I really like that it also has fertilizer in it.

Where is my grass?

Great shade tree grass

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I applied this to my front lawn underneath my two large shade trees, and it seems like the grass is starting to grow but only time will tell how it lasts. So far it's great.

Easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This seed mix is easy to use, just spread it out and let it go. So far I haven't seen much growth from it but it's starting. I put it down where we had 30ft of our yard dug up 2 years ago. I pleaced it in a patch that won't grow anything because there are tons of pine needles that drop on the ground. Overall so far its sprouting and growing now just to wait and see.

Great color

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like how the grass seed has a coating on it. Some spots didn't take very well so would like to see a somewhat better formula. Some spots took great though and grass grew quick and thick.

I have a combination of shade, full sun, high traffic, low traffic areas. I have dogs who love to run along my privacy fence and they wear out the grass so it never grows there. I thought this seed might work in that area as well as the other bare areas. I raked the area where I was going to put the seed so there was a fluffly soil ...

Not ready to review

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As I had previously stated the ground temp or night time low temp has to be 50 or above to gerimanate. Today is the fifth day of this occuring. I will be planting this weekend but if you want to see seeds laying on the ground that is all I could provide at this time. I will need another 10 to 115 days to show growth. Quality Seed Mix

The variety adds a nice depth to the yard and has a great color that blends with the rest of the yard. Quick growing and provided necessary maintenance to improve the appearance of the lawn.

Great product

I have been fighting bald spots in my backyard for years, no matter what I tried nothing seemed to work...that is until now! I spread this seed and about 10-12 days later I could already see growth, which is amazing! It has come a long way since then, this seed really works for those tough spots! So happy to have tried this seed!

Didn't really work well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Applied the seed in a shaded area in our backyard near the porch with some areas that needed filling. Had a few blades pop up but didn't really grow much, may have been user error though.

No dense grass in dense shade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Only a little bit of grass came up and there was fresh dirt and I kept it watered. However nothing is growing in my yard and I believe it's the root system of the massive trees that suck up all the water and nutrients.

So Far So Good!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I only spread this around my yard a week ago (finally got warm enough out!) and I am already seeing great results! Grass popping up all over. My one recommendation is as soon as you lay the seeds down make sure to water them right after. That will help keep them in place, especially if its windy. Overall very satisfied with this product.

Can't tell

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never used a grass seed in my life so I don't have much experience to go off of, but I have seen very little grass grown where I applied this grass seed. Where I live hasn't been very warm and spring like either though.

Good so far

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Planting season was a little later than normal this year with cold temps pushing into April. I had an area I ripped out honey suckle amongst our backyard trees and planted this seed to try and get grass coverage in the Dense shad the trees provided. It has sprouted better than expected and I am hoping that it really takes root back there. I will most likely buy a bigger bag to do more of that area once it's cleared out to get grass coverage.

Unable to review properly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used the Smart Seed and followed directions. I used a garden rake to loosen the soil under the tree I was planting. So far, the seed has not started to grow. It's been a few weeks but our weather this spring has been very slow to warm up and it could be that it just hasn't been warm enough to germinate. I would like to wait to leave a review but this was my last chance to do so. As of right now, I would not recommend it because it hasn't...
