Just awful

Just purchased a new refill jug after using the rest of our old one. We opened it up and were hit with this terrible scent. The scent permeated our entire kitchen and we ended up putting the jug on the balcony until we can return it. And the soap was more liquidy? Very strange. This isn't a nastolgia thing, it just smells awful.

No longer interested in continuing long term use

Wow. Enough of an issue to bring forth. A small gathering for a baby shower revealed an overwhelming response to the most recent replacement of Palmolive's original "Softens hands while you do dishes " Scent. Bad smell

I have been using Palmolive for 30+ years. This new "scent" is terrible. I cannot use it anymore.

Won't buy again.

Tried using it recently but was turned off by the strong and strangely sweet odor.

Terrible smell from the new Palmolive dish soap.

The product has always been excellent and the scent has always been inoffensive but the new scent of the original essential clean Palmolive is awful. I have used this product most of my adult life and will have to find another product similar to your 'original' original Palmolive dish liquid. If the wheel isn't broken, why change it?

New scent is overpowering

I'm so sad the scent has changed. I've used Palmolive my entire life and have been loyal to this brand. Prefer to use it in all rooms of the house, even bathroom as I don't like the feel or scent of other soaps. Please bring back the original scent! I find the new scent to be overly perfumed with an unnatural odor (chemical odor). I will no longer be purchasing Palmolive.

Horrible scent

I have used Palmolive since childhood (over 45 years) and it has never has as harsh a scent as now. Please go back to the original scent. Until the original scent is brought back I will no longer purchase Palmolive dish soap.

New scent is disgusting!!

Opened my new bottle and the new sickly sweet smell made me gag! I have been buying Palmolive my whole life and for my professional kitchen for years and I believe that I am finished using it if they keep this scent. Why change something that isn't broken?

Absolutely Hate the new Scent

I have been using original scent Palmolive for as long as I can remember--and I'm 72 years old! I even remember the Palmolive commercials with Madge--softens hands while you do the dishes. I've tried other dish washing detergents in the past and they were rough on my hands, so I always came back to Palmolive. The odor is SO unpleasant' and it persists on hands and dishcloths. What would be nice is a fresh/clean scent rather than cloying perfume. I will not be buying Palmolive Ultra again!

I don't enjoy the new scent, way to much like cheap perfume.

Great for dishes, washing out delicates, cleaning sink, etc. My all-around cleaning needs.

Disappointed with the sudden change in the original formula

I've been using the Palmolive ORIGINAL for decades. The recent change in formula has me so disappointed me that I've reluctantly started buying other brands. Not only do I miss the pleasurable fresh scent of the "original" but the new formula doesn't even sud well. Palmolive, you had a GREAT product that many consumers already loved. To whichever team that decided it would be a great idea to change something good - it wasn't.... I'm hoping the much-loved formula returns someday, as I'm sure many...

Please bring back original scent!!!!

The original scent was so amazing and reminded me of doing dishes with my grandma and mom, who are both gone now. The new scent is so strong and not pleasing at all. Please, please change it back!!!!

Haven't tried new smelling one yet. I loved the cleaning power, but am I the only person in the world who, right from childhood, felt nauseous and ill while using it with the old scent?!????

Heartbroken with the scent change.

Very sad the fragrance has changed. Why did you change the scent, was it an environmental issue? Like many posters here, the product is nostalgic from the days of yesteryear. I am hoping for a "classic original" scent to show up on the shelf. Until then I will be using Dawn Dish Soap.

I will NEVER buy this product again

I purchased the Ultra Strength because I haven't been able to find my favorite Oxy in any of my local stores lately (although I hear you've tampered with that product as well) Dear gawd does that stuff STINK!!! I have a very sensitive nose & can't use any of the scented dish soaps - no lavender, green apple, tangerine, etc. Even after 3 rinses I can still smell it on my dishes & it makes me nauseous. I'm looking for a product to clean my dishes, not something to dab behind my ears. The smell doe...

Won't clean grease stick on plastic utensils/container

Don't easily remove grease stick onto plastic container. I need to squeeze on the plastic bowl and repassing at least 3-4 times to be able to remove grease.

I will NOT buy again

Not convinced on odd perfume. Low suds, poor cleaning.

Please please please bring back original

I implore you to please bring back the original. I have literally been using it my entire life. One week, it was gone. A few weeks later my husband proudly brought home a bottle of green Palmolive and I was relieved...until I opened it. What is this atrocity? It's AWFUL. The smell is disgusting and the product is not improved. Please bring back the original. There is nothing that can replace the original that we all loved your company for. Just bring it back, please!!
