[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product removes grease extremely well while remaining gentle on the skin. The smell is very enjoyable and doesn't have much of a chemical odor. The light foam also allows for a more effective clean.

Was its ability to cut through grease.

I am not pleased with your product. I have been using Palmolive for over 20 years for hand washing dishes and pots and pans. I find that it doesn’t cut the grease as it used to. Have you changed the formula? Needless to say this will be the last bottle that i will buy. I also noted that the dishwashing liquid is not as thick as it used to be. I would like to hear from you concerning if the formula has been changed.

The Ultra Strength Isn't A Joke

I couldn't tolerate the smell at first, then I understood how to use the product correctly. They aren't kidding around when they call it ultra strength. You need to use very little of the soap for its effectiveness, if you use too much the scent becomes too strong. When using the right amount, the smell is fantastic.

dont spend your mony for something very bad prodcut

Watered down dish soap was a bad idea.

After so many years you have watered down your dish soap. We suppose to increase your profits. My family and neighbours noticed too and think it is a bad move.. We have to use twice as much now so our costs are up. Maybe you'll get rich but we won't be buying it anymore

Changed formula for the worse

Not the same Palmolive I grew up with. It use to be thick and smell so good. The new formula is like water and smells like chemicals. So sad they ruined a good thing :(

Smells terrible, works well

It works on grease. So there is that. Unfortunately it smells so god awful that it takes over my nose. It kind of burns in the sinuses and I can't smell anything else. It's not pleasant... Like cheap plastic leather sprayed with bug killer. It would be fine except for that smell.

Bring back the old scent!

Original sent is not original these days! Works well however the new original scent does not smell the same

Cleans great.... smell is not so great

Ok, so I came to the website to see if they sold the Ultra Strength in a different scent. Like others, I really, REALLY don't like how it smells. I was using the Free & Clean in "lavendar & eucalyptus" scent, which was heavenly, but can't find it in any stores in that scent anymore. Anyhow, I used this and was very impressed by how squeaky clean it gets my dishes, so was baffled with the other reviews that say it doesn't clean. We notice.

Something has happened to my dish soap. Its changed! It no longer has the power to clean that it use to. My hands feel dont feel cared for like they use to. And a little no longer goes a long way. We as consumer's notice these things. I started useing Palmalive dish soap because thats what my Gramma used. I'm 60.

Similar issues

I came here to see if anyone else had noticed a change in scent and quality. I'm so so sad they changed formulas. I used the original and oxy formula for years and frequently recommendedit to family and friends for quality without spending a fortune. Unfortunately I cannot use it anymore. It doesn't clean and the new scent is awful. Guess I'll have to try some other brands.

aweful and a waste

I have used Palmolive for YEARS. I am super sensitive and this is the only brand I can use to wash my dished and counters that is not too harsh that makes my skin hurt. That said.. something has changed. I know covid... but I will pay more to have the same quality as I used to. This stuff is so runny.. When i tried to put some on the sponge is flowed so fast all over the counter and the floor. Terrible. Also it does not rinse well. It leave a weird film. It does not cut grease at all.. Disappointed

Does not begin to dissolve and remove grease. Just smears it around.

What did you do to it?

Longtime loyal Palmolive user. What the Heck did you do? How could this horrible replacement formula have been selected. The smell is horrendous, it smells like rotten green tea! I can't stand to smell it. The consistency it like water now and does not clean. It just falls right off the sponge and dishes. So upset I spent money on this 90oz. bottle. Beyond disappointment and don't even know how to find a replacement since I have been using this for 40 years.

Nauseating odor

Cannot get past the nauseating odor from this dish liquid.

Missing The Original Scent

Long time Palmolive user here. Cut to the chase; Palmolive cleans as well as many other dishwashing soaps on the market. The thing that has set it apart is the original scent. That scent is what has kept Palmolive selling for all these years. You need to bring back the original scent before you lose too many long time customers. It is not really Palmolive unless it smells like Palmolive.

New smell is bad

Have used this my whole adult life, passed down from my grandmother always using it. The new scent is gross! I thought maybe I was wrong, but looked online and I'm not the only one who noticed! I sadly have to find a new favorite.

Terrible! Now I'm allergic to it!

After 40 years of being a loyal Palmolive user I will have to find something else. The new formula makes my hands break out and itch. And it does not clean as well. Any chance you could bring back the original! Terrible!

Won't use again unless you bring back the original scent

The new scent is nauseating. I've seen some stores saying "original scent" in their online descriptions. Did you really bring back the original scent? Please tell me you did!!!
