With laminated shingles you can't use regular shingles for the ridge like you can with 3-tab, so you need these. They're perforated, which makes them easy to work with.

Great Product, but a pain to carry
Would RecommendThe shingles look great and the installation is easy to understand and easy to do. I was patching a spot that the previous roof owner fouled up and the 4 year old shingles look as new as the ones i just added. My only complaint is a problem wiht the entire shingle industry. The packaging is always shredded and you consistently use 1 or 2 shingles from every package due to damage. The packaging itself could be more clear about what type of shingle it is.
