What Customers Are Saying
The product appears to have mixed reviews. Many customers praised its ease of use, good adhesion, and effectiveness in providing a stable and waterproof surface. However, some expressed concerns about slipperiness, lack of adhesion, and issues with sealing around nails and screws. The product may not be as reliable or high-performing as other leading brands, so customers should carefully consider their specific needs before deciding if it is the best fit.

Would RecommendI am not contractor, Just a DYI guy with moderate experience. This was my first use of this product. Usually I just used 30 lb felt paper, but this is my daughter house so I stepped up. I watched a few Youtube videos and it went on just as they said. I didn;t buy enough for the whole project so I ended up having buy more.... this time it was a GAF product. they were similar in thickness and application but the GAF product had a looser grit surface and was more prone to slip, whereas the Owens pro...

Owens Corning has changed the product
Would Not Recommend**WARNING** Owens Corning has changed the product Newer product and changes to the packaging 1. Not 200 Sq. Ft. now 183 Sq. Ft. The old rolls were in a cardboard package the new rolls are plastic wrapped. 2. New product is not as sticky and will not rollout and lay down flat like the old product. 3. New product has granules that easily wipe off and is slippery to walk on. The old product you could easily walk on. Just finished a 4/12 roof which is not steep and two workers almost fell the produc...
Nice
Would RecommendWorks great on low pitch roof and in valley seals around nail holes acts like melted rubber when it gets hot and seals into shape and place no worries of leaks getting through

Ice shield underlayment
Would RecommendThis underlayment is very sticky on one side, so it takes some expertise to install. It is way more protective of the roof sheeting when compared to felt paper.

Water shield
Would RecommendThis underlay keeps the water out. I used it around my chimney in making repairs for a leaky roof

I have rolled it out very flat & smooth Each seam over lapping on the clean joints provided. I have left it there for a few days in 90 heat. I see many spots where at the seems it is lifting up. Where I placed it on the metal flashings on the edges I can lift it off with no p...

glorified tar paper
Would Not RecommendI just spent my 4th of July weekend and a day of vacation pulling off my roof, ripping off this product, pulling off the OSB sheathing at the eves, fixing the matted insulation, and then reinstalling the sheathing, ice and water shield, and the roofing. This is after shoveling my roof for 10 years every time there was 1/2 the snow my neighbors could bear on their roofs. And the first winter I had this product I was lucky enough to fix the sheetrock that had water damage. This product did allow l...
