Wow! This actually works as advertised. We have a covered porch with a Trex composite decking floor, rails, and steps. We had it built over 12 years ago. Over those years, we cleaned it with a generic deck cleaner and a lot of scrubbing, time and sweat. I went to U-tube to see how the best way to clean it. The U-tube showed how easy it was by spraying this Olympic deck cleaner over the Trex composite materiel, wait 5-10 minutes, and then wash it off. I did exactly that. And the results just ...

Ruined our composite decking

Used this on very expensive composite decking and it completely ruined it. I had tried a sample spot on one board and it looked fine so we did our entire deck. The entire deck looks bleached and it completely took the wood color out and now has this white bleached look. I am so upset.

The cleaner worked great. Did not require a lot of scrubbing.

Horrible made my deck fuzzy and splotchy

Let me start by saying i rarely leave reviews as im not ever this dissatisfied with a product. But dont waste your money. I bought this with high hopes and wasted my time and money. I tested it on half my deck and power washed other have with a 15" round power washer adapter I purchased from walmart. They deck has never been cleaned or power washed and is 7yrs old. The half I used the cleaner on made it fuzzy and splotchy. The side i used the 15" round adapter looks 10x better. Its not fuzzy o...

Not impressed

Sprayed cleaner on deck waited as directed. Saw cleaner foam up a little Not much different from the day before when used power washer. Power washer is a 4000 can not say not strong effort ( did not use at 4000 but around 3200 Brought three gallons. Taking two back Try some thing else

Does the job!

Tried other cleaners for my composite decks and nothing works as well as Olympic. I use it around the pool and main deck. I attach tarps to outside of railings to prevent plants from getting direct spray bc I'm afraid that it may harm them, and so far so good for 4 years. You might want to wet down plants before starting so they can't absorb the cleaner. Haven't had a problem. Buying 2 more bottles for this weekend..

Olympic Deck Cleaner

I have used this product a couple of times now on my composite decking. Works really well. Other products just didn't get it clean, but cleaning with the Olympic Cleaner makes it look like new. Easy to use, but has bleach in it, so be sure to wear old clothes. It will bleach them too if you spill, or in my case the hose of my pump sprayed rubbed my shorts.

Bleached my pants, didnt clean too much, terrible to pressure wash off - left a film... dont buy!

The nuclear option....

Very powerful stuff. Kills everything on contact (mold, algee, etc). Make sure to wear your protective gear and make sure to wash off the product thoroughly (lots and lots of water) or your wood will turn a little white.

Expensive bleach

I bought this deck cleaner to use on my wolmanized deck that had mold and grime. I live in a wood area surrounded by trees which can cause a lot of built up what I would call grime. All this product did as bleach the bare wood but did not remove anything else. Not impressed. I could have bought a gallon of bleach for a 1/4 of the price.

Deck floor looks awful

Applied product per instructions and rinsed with a hose spray nozzle. Upon drying there were white blotches and streaks throughout the floor and railings. I went back over it with a pressure washer which helped some. Olympic says the bleach is the cause and said to scuff sand the entire floor. I have been cleaning decks for years and never had an issue until I used this product. This is my first and last purchase of Olympic products.

Used this cleaner on my Choice composite deck, which is exposed to the weather in Washington state. Did a great job without scrubbing...very happy Craig B.

Impressive

Apply to any weathered wood and you will be amazed at how quickly and effectively it brightens the wood even without any added scrubbing. I use it on hemlock and treated deck boards.

Great Fence Cleaner

Just use3d to clean an old treated pine fence. Just sprayed on waited 20 min washed off with water hose. Could not believe how well it did with no scrubbing. I recommend this product with a 5 of 5 rating.

Thank you for responding to my review. I expected the answer you gave since I had read a similar review. I want you to know that I followed the directions as outlined on the container to the letter. I made sure to leave the product on no longer than 5-10 minutes as stated in the directions and even timed it. I also made sure I applied the cleaner well after the sun had gone down and rinsed the product off for at least a steady 10 minutes. This product just did not do the job as it claims. The ov...

Does not work very well

It cleaned somewhat well but now the deck wood color looks uneven and it left some white stains. I'm sorry I purchased it.

works great on old composite decking

I have old gray composite decking, installed 17 years ago. Heavy mold, dirt and algae stains. I have rarely cleaned it, when I did it was with a detergent + bleach solution and a lot of scrubbing by hand, 2-3 hours of work and it would remove maybe 50% of the mess. I used this stuff as recommended, used a push broom to give it a light scrubbing and it pulled up 100% of the dirt and I'd say 95% of the stains in less than 30 minutes of easy work.
