Use round plastic rings

I saw mixed reviews on this product when I purchased it over 3 years ago. Avoid the rust. No metal to metal. User friendly shower rings. No rust yet. It's been perfect.

72-in Chrome Curved Adjustable Shower Curtain Rod

The mounting hardware that came with this product will only work if you have 1/2" drywall. If you have anything else, don't leave the store without additional mounting materials. The rod itself is OK for it's purpose but not top shelf!

As Described

Purchased and installed! Did not use install hardware included as a stud was on the corner of shower and I used drywall screws. Looks good easy to install.

Good but not sturdy

Though the rod is steel, the mounting post (bracket) is plastic as is the ring that joins it to the rod. The weakest link of course is the plastic. I completed Step 7 of the instructions which is mounting the first post. As pictured I still had it attached to the rod. I then went to install the other end when I heard a snap. The screw pulled through the first mounting post. Great. I then removed the mounting posts from the bar by extracting the philips screw. This is very easy to do with a small...

Nice upgrade

I've been wanting to change our straight curtain rod for a while. I've enjoyed the curved rods when staying at hotels. So happy with the result. Should have done it sooner. Very simple to install.

more room to shower

the curved shower bar gives you much more space to bath and you don't feel confined. Moen has a nice product and will last as long as you don't try to do chin ups or catch yourself when falling while changing a light bulb.

For my situation, small bath, makes it much easier to shower.

Outstanding

I have always been impressed with Moen products and this one didn't let me down. Very easy to install and the anchors are nice and sturdy, where with cheaper products they generally start to strip when using a power drill to tighten them. These tightened up like a champ with no stripping. Another great feature was the cut-out templates that you can just place in position and drill straight through the paper and it lines up perfectly (barring you measured properly). Shower Rod

The shower bar is very nice and does add room for persons inside the shower. BUT, do yourself a big favor, stop on the way out and buy some decent installation hardware. The anchors provided for installing in drywall were flimsly, cheap, and stripped out without tightening the bar to the wall. After a second trip to Lowes I bought some decent installation hardware to mount this bar to drywall. Shower rod hardware bad

Installed the shower rod, and to my dismay, i didn't have wood behind the anchor locations as i thought i would. I added studding when remodelling but missed the location by an inch or so. Used the supplied anchors and they were absolutely junk. These are the metal style that flare out when screw is tightened and are fairly stout. The ones supplied didn't work well, and actually twisted instead of flaring. I'd suggest picking up better anchors to use if needed, and not rely on the ones supplied....

It is what I expected

I removed the sliding glass doors and frame from my bathroom because I found it very difficult to bathe a 2 year old. I opted for this product for the simple reason that I always found myself hitting my elbows off of the doors and thought this would supply me with a little extra room. Note, I am not a large man. It was easy to install. It came with nice paper cut-out templates for mounting. I am highly experienced in the construction field and appreciate little things like this. The hardest part...

Works as intended

Husband mounted, so I'm not able to speak as to ease or difficulty of installation. I do like that it is anchored to the wall and not a tension mount. It's amazing how much roomier the curved shower rod makes. This is our second one purchased. The first one has been in use for 4 1/2 years with no problems.

Look good, easy to install

Price was a little high for a piece of pipe but it looks good and added the additional space to the shower, cheap options were a little too cheap in quality and were straight rods, my wife wanted the curved version and there's no cheap curved version, so I paid the additional 25 bucks and left with a fancy shower rod. I know home depot has more options but not worth enough to do the extra drive.

Love the idea of this bar, but we would've had to drill through the tile to install and didn't want the hassle.
