Would RecommendThis is not an in oil based product. It's water based. It goes on easily. It dries to a smooth finish. It provides a good base coat for varathane type varnishes. It's a good product that does what it should do. Follow instructions. Lightly sand with a fine grit, and apply your finish cost.

DO NOT give a product a bad rating because you used it improperly, there is nothing wrong with this sanding sealer, it is terrific and performs exceedingly well, when USED CORRECTLY!!! Don't blame the tool for your mistake.

The stain did NOTHING!!!! We turned the door over and tried again. This time in attempt to sand the sanding sealer off. Stain took but it was blotchy and uneven.
