Would RecommendThis is a simple easy radio with max power. Doesn't do multi band scanning. If that's your thing, this might not appeal to you. I have those radios also, but in my vehicle, they are distracting. I want easy and dependable. It's also great for a clean install. Radio fits easily under the seat and the controls are on the mic.

Nice upgrade from the MXT275
Would RecommendI like that this works with the new mic design. Nice upgrade; however this unit is heavier that the MXT275 it replaced and required me to mount it differently.

Would RecommendI am ham radio operator myself and familiar with radios. I bought for my wife's vehicle so we can communicate at the campsite. Construction design, Material selection is way stronger than mass produce chinese made brand. I am very happy about the fact my wife only has to deal with microphone which is easy to use. my only request for next model will be hand mic size and design so I can easy to hold to operate but very minor problem on my end.

Would RecommendI was looking for a radio to purchase that wouldn’t take up space and this is the perfect fit. I was able to mount under my dash and used RJ45 panel Mount extension to move the mic to the perfect spot.

MXT 575
Would RecommendEasy to install, seems to work well, although I haven’t had an opportunity to give it a proper test with a variety of receivers. Seems to be picking up a little more engine noise than my MXT 275 did. Midland could improve their advertising by making the owners manual available on their web site and letting people know that the mic on this radio has provisions to plug in a headset.
