Would Recommendinstall was pretty easy and the look is nice, although the plastic had a lot of molding flash on it that I had to trim off with a razor blade. The two parts of the sleeve slid over my existing 4x4 post nicely. The top part was very snug on the post, presumably by design. Ground needs to be level for the bottom part to stand true and not have an angle-break where the top part meets it. Would Not RecommendDue to a car demolishing my first Mayne Westbrook Plus mail post recently, I ordered the same unit with a solar light cap. I received the order reasonably quick. However, after unpacking the three boxes, I noticed flaws in the injection molding of the post, mailbox arm and undersized solar cap. The post had sharp vertical ridges left after the mold was released. The mailbox arm had an uneven mold pour on the top surface. The solar light cap does not fit correctly on the post cap. I really love my new mailbox!
Would RecommendEasy to assemble, holds up well. I recommend caulking around seems for a "finished" touch. When I researched this post, several reviews mentioned the plant soil runs through the screw hole and stains the back of the post. As a result, I used one of those coconut fiber linings used for hanging baskets inside the plant box before adding soil / plants. So far, so good! The plants are thriving and the overall mailbox is a lovely addition.
