Does not last

Installed this a year ago for the door coming in from the garage. Not real hard to install just have to be patient and compress seal in small increments. Problem is it doesn't last. Less than 1 yr and the rubber or vinyl splines have pealed off and now leaving a gap again. Need a more durable or softer material to reduce friction so it doesn't fail.

Not so good

I bought this to go in the doorway from my kitchen to my porch. I thought it would be good for any draft that would go underneath the door. I have to say that installing the gray strip wasn't the easiest thing in the world, it was very hard to get into the groves for it. Then once installed it gets caught, in one place and comes out constantly. Very annoying. If I didn't pay so much for it I would just toss it out. For now I just have to keep putting the gray piece back in.

can't install rubber seal

Disgraceful. Someone designed this from a chair, sent to fabrication, and is now selling it. NO ONE DID A TEST INSTALL. After inserting several inches of rubber seal, it would just pop out. Also seal appears too big. Very much doubt door would close if seal ever would stay in place. Or could be insert channels in aluminum plate are not far enough apart. Avoid this product until they get their act together.

My contractor and my husband worked for an hour trying to install it after my contractor previously tried a while ago and got so mad he threw it out in the yard. I will have to return and try another product. Don't waste your time. For those who did get it installed easily as you state in your reviews, how in the world did you do it as so many other's reviews state how impossible it is?

Impossible to install the seal

There are several changes to this design that the mfg could make that would allow easy installation of the threshold and the seal. Unfortunately, the seal only lasts on average 3 months time before it tears so you then have to install a replacement seal. The company says to heat the seal to make it easier to install but read the reviews...this is really hard to do. Door seal.

This is actually a 72 inch long one for a double door. This was for an inside door, so I needed to cut 3/4 inch off the door to fit but is works very well.
