Killed my Caterpillars
Would Not RecommendI had 9 monarch caterpillars that were growing strong but they had eaten the milkweed plants I had. So I picked this one up so they could finish growing and go to cocoon. Not long after I introduced the plant and they started eating it I noticed they got really sluggish, and were barely moving. Two days later now and they are all dead. One turned completely black. Milkweed for Monarchs
I buy this milkweed because I raise the Florida monarch butterflies. This is the plant that they lay their eggs on and also the caterpillars eat the leaves. However, the recent batch I bought evidently was sprayed with a pesticide or weed killer. As a consequence, the caterpillars who made it into chrysalis stage, came out deformed or died in the chrysalis. This is unacceptable.
