DON"T RECOMEND

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this composter few years ago and had difficult time to put it together, way too complicated and some parts seem to be low quality which are already breaking. From my personal experience I found this composter poorly designed and very difficult to put together with a short time life quality.

Ethical company!

Even after several years of owning this product, Lifetime sent us the replacement for the hinges for free. We are grateful for having bought this product from a reputable company.

Still working great after several years

I bought this product several years ago and have produced hundreds of gallons of compost in it. Everything still works very well even when loaded full with heavy, damp compost. I am ready to buy a second one. There is a little rust on some of the hinges and metal parts but its 5-7 years old and looks like it will last another 5-7 years.

Good bins, more than some assembly required

Good compost bins. The assembly takes considerably longer than expected, but once that arduous task is complete they work very well

Metal parts failed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this a few years ago and it worked great until a few days ago when it collapsed and the tube the barrels rotate on collapsed. All of the metal parts have significant rust on them and I have been using wd 40 on them since the beginning. The plastic parts are in fair condition and if the metal parts are available I think I could fix it

Great product and great service

Fantastic product. I have had this composter for several years. I had some trouble with several of the parts rusting and the company immediately sent me replacement parts at no cost. Excellent service.

Bad set up

Good design, poor quality materials.

I purchased this product some years ago. It is one of the more expensive composters. If you want a product that will be functional and great to operate for 6 months to a year you have found it. But if you are expecting one that will continue to be functional for an extended period of time look elsewhere. The metal materials rust and cannot be turned due to corrosion. I continue to use but can no longer rotate bins.

Spinning composter great but does rust over time.

I have this model and it worked great for a couple of years but unfortunately now the gears are rusting and one of the doors gears are completely seized up so that one side is unusable.

Horrible Instructions, Very Difficult to Assemble. Door latch COMPLETELY Failed, CAN'T OPEN!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] EXTREMELY difficult to assemble, HORRIBLE instructions. Once assembled it lasted a few years, now the latch on one door is totally stuck. There is no way to open it!

Rust!

Same issues as everyone else. Hardware is rusting/rusted. Parts are unobtainable. Currently unusable.

Composting Made Easy

I’ve owned this composting bin for almost ten years. I did have to replace the door hinges but Lifetime did provide parts at no cost. The composters work very well, but don’t overlook the requirement to rotate them every week to minimize the stink!

Great Bin for a lifetime

WE bought these years ago in another part of the country. I have disassembled them and transported them many times. Whenever I need a part, the customer service staff at Lifetime always are prompt with supplying what I need. NO QUESTIONS ASKED. When they say Lifetime, they mean it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great short time composter. It quickly composted all the internal hardware rendering it useless. The replacement parts cost are not feasible and now the composter will spend a forever lifetime in the landfill. You’re welcome grandkids.

Well engineered and great service

I bought this two weeks ago and found there was a piece missing; I contacted the customer desk (in USA) asking for a replacement and it was shipped from the USA and arrived 5 days later. I was impressed. Rarely to I find a help desk so responsive and helpful. Putting it together was enjoyable if you are good at DIY but it does need two people some of the time. I was very impressed by the engineering and design to allow it be be built from flat pack.

Great product, even better service!

I bought this product over 5 years ago and it has provided gallons and gallons of compost. Even though it is now out of warranty, Lifetime provides top service and replacement parts.

Awesome Customer Service!

Our original purchase of our compost tumblers was smooth, and we received the product which has been performing well for the last 5 years. When the hinges became too rusted to hold the lid on, they not only sent me the hinges, but new lids. When I had to email them that the lid fasteners hardware was not with the lids, they immediately replied that they would ship those too --- we received them within a few days! Thank you Lifetime! My compost tumblers may just last a lifetime!

Double composter

A live person answers the phone and are very knowledgable regarding the parts or information about the LIFETIME products. I recommend LIFETIME the support is there after the purchase.

Great Customer Support

I called Lifetime to order the the parts to repair the locking mechanism. Customer Service was able to identify all the parts needed and provided them as a customer service. I received the parts as scheduled and was able to repair our double composter without any problems.

Very good product and wonderful customer service

The Lifetime Double Bin Rotating Composter been a great product for a period of years. Not unexpectedly given the moisture created when creating compost (and I fill the bins to capacity), a couple of the metal parts rusted and detached. I called and the parts were in stock and were shipped to me the same day. Very impressive customer service.
