Great washer so far. Clothes come out clean and in a reasonable amount of time. Spin cycle is relatively quiet. 9x12 washable rug fit in washer no problem.

Loud grinding on real loads and nobody will fix it
Would Not RecommendGot this LG WT8405CB from Lowes E. Lancaster (#2687) in August 2026 with their Protection Plan. Within weeks it started grinding and shaking bad on real loads. Towels, blankets, even a single blanket. Happened once on regular clothes too. It is not overload. We checked leveling. We have been trying to get it fixed or replaced since shortly after delivery and still nothing. Assurant denied the Protection Plan claim the same day saying it is still under the manufacturer warranty. LG will not allo...
Don’t buy unless you are an engineer!
Would Not RecommendI am a returning LG customer who bought this washer because my old LG machine finally died after years of great service. I used to love LG, but this new WT8405 model is an absolute nightmare for real-life laundry use. They completely removed the basic Soak cycle from the physical control dial. I love this washer! It is large capacity, I have no issues washing comforters, large loads, towels etc. but even though it's deep because of the slanted opening I have no trouble reaching the bottom as someone who is 5'2. I like the cycle options and how quiet it is as well.

Washes great
So far so good. Start button has to be pushed hard to start, and I know it is a safety thing, but I wish once a load was done it would unlock the lid automatically.
