Careful

Ours lasted about 5 years and began to cycle through working and not working. We opted to get another refrigerator of a different brand

Poor quality

Compressor died after 4 years. Items on top shelf tend to freeze. Now the icemaker is not working correctly. It took a month for warranty repair to get it fixed.

Short longevity.

Overall was a great fridge until it stopped cooling. The compressor was reflated and broke down within the 2 weeks of replacing. All my appliances are LG but this experience has made me reconsider my next purchase. The didn’t offer me a replacement or a store discount.

3rd compressor in 5 years

was forced to buy it a refrigerator during covid 2021! the only refrigerators left in anyone stock was LG but i need a refrig. knowing the compressor issue. since then i had 3 compressors replaced! and lose lots of food!

Great Refrigorator !

Wonderful ! After a few years it required repair and LG repair service took care of it quickly ! Thank YOU LG !

Disappointed

Only had 5 years and compressor went also noticed rubber strips are not sealing on the doors properly

Two times I've had to call about it. The first time the fridge section was freezing up. The second time the freezer was thawing out...Definitely should have read the reviews before buying...

Junk compressor has went out twice. And both times in the night and losing food

Unreliable

The product has been terrible and I will never buy an LG and will discourage anyone else from buying one.

When in good working order and operating as intended/expected the performance of the refrigerator and included icemaker is very good. However, in the past approximately three years we have had to replace the compressor twice and the icemaker three times. Accordingly, I am reluctant to recommend purchase of this model refrigerator to others and would be hesitant to purchase another LG refrigerator in this category.

Horrible

Terrible, had it for not even 4 years then stopped working no tech in our area would touch it the one they sent out had to come back 3 different times just for it to still not work. Lot so much food. For the to give us a prorated amount for the fridge they basically gave up on trying to fix it and let’s be real a prorated amount doesn’t even cover the cost of a new fridge. NEVER BUY LG

Never buy LG fridge

Compressor died after less than 5 years. LG service is very bad. One full week after calling customer service, they managed to get a repairman to my home. Never, ever buy an LG fridge. Please, don't.

Great repair experience!

We have had our LG refrigerator (model# LRFCS25D3S) for 4 years. Recently, both the refrigerator and freezer quit working. I reached out to LG because the "sealed system" is still under warranty. I explained the situation in detail, and they promptly scheduled a technician for the next morning. The technician ran a few tests and confirmed it was a bad compressor. Lasted less than 5 years ; ran well then suddenly no longer kept food cold. Compressor died. I will never again buy an LG product or product with LG components.

Do not buy. Fails in 2 years.

Works great for 2 years, then fails. We bought in October 2023 and I he compressor just failed yesterday (April 2025). Apparently this is a common issue and class action lawsuits have been filed and won (one is currently still open).

We have had this fridge less than 18 months and the fridge part has quit working and it is not covered under warranty. LG IS GARBAGE. DO NOT BUY!

Lousey compressor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Compressor died less than three years old. Lost all of my food, and had to eat out 2 meals a day, for over a week. Took over two weeks to get the refrigerator repaired. thankfully the weather turned cold and we used a cooler outside to be able to eat at home again.
