When in good working order and operating as intended/expected the performance of the refrigerator and included icemaker is very good. However, in the past approximately three years we have had to replace the compressor twice and the icemaker three times. Accordingly, I am reluctant to recommend purchase of this model refrigerator to others and would be hesitant to purchase another LG refrigerator in this category.

Horrible

Terrible, had it for not even 4 years then stopped working no tech in our area would touch it the one they sent out had to come back 3 different times just for it to still not work. Lot so much food. For the to give us a prorated amount for the fridge they basically gave up on trying to fix it and let’s be real a prorated amount doesn’t even cover the cost of a new fridge. NEVER BUY LG

Never buy LG fridge

Would Not Recommend

Compressor died after less than 5 years. LG service is very bad. One full week after calling customer service, they managed to get a repairman to my home. Never, ever buy an LG fridge. Please, don't.

Great repair experience!

We have had our LG refrigerator (model# LRFCS25D3S) for 4 years. Recently, both the refrigerator and freezer quit working. I reached out to LG because the "sealed system" is still under warranty. I explained the situation in detail, and they promptly scheduled a technician for the next morning. The technician ran a few tests and confirmed it was a bad compressor. Do not buy. Fails in 2 years.

Works great for 2 years, then fails. We bought in October 2023 and I he compressor just failed yesterday (April 2025). Apparently this is a common issue and class action lawsuits have been filed and won (one is currently still open).

Lousey compressor

Too soon for Freezer problems

Other than dinging easily, I was very satisfied with this fridge. Easy to clean and organize food in both fridge and freezer. Unfortunately, the freezer stopped working on Christmas Eve. Three away a ton of food and prepared the rest that I could save. Since that day, it’s been on and off.
