Doesn't clean the dishes
Would Not RecommendWe are VERY disappointed with this appliance. Our previous Samsung did an admirable job of cleaning the dishes and was relatively quiet. This LG dishwasher leaves a gritty film on all of the dishes and doesn't even clean off the food. The glassware and silverware are dull and filmy and the plates & bowls feel gritty. If the items are washed (not rinsed, washed) before going in the washer, they come out with food still on them. We still have our old dishwasher and I'm considering having a re...

I preferred my 20 year old whirlpool, but this will do. It cleans ok, and it should for as long as it takes to finish. The dry cycle is long. Don't open the door shortly after it's finished if you want dry dishes. Instead wait 30 minutes or so and they will be mostly dry. This dishwasher requires patience. Like others I've accidentally turned it on by brushing past the highly sensitive touch panel. Apparently all the good dishwasher engineers have retired.
