Good light weight saw

I needed a lightweight saw to work inside on my third floor. This saw has worked perfectly on all my trim and baseboards. My only issue is that they used an odd-size vacuum port. Had to rig an adapter.

Good Product

This is my first saw for wood working projects. It seems to work well, is easy to use, and got the stamp of approval from my contractor dad.

Trigger Happy.

This miter saw is great, but the trigger and its safety mechanism causes me to hesitate the startup. I have to be careful to depress the green safety tab as well as the trigger to operate. It’s for safety I know, but it’s still doesn’t make it easy to start blade operation. Other than that, it’s a great value and performance tool.

I bought this to upgrade trim details. It works much better than expected.

Great features for a low price!

I needed a miter saw that was lighter weight and easier to haul around for some work at my kids places. My 10" is mounted to a roll around stand which is great for here but not for portability as I get older. This one had everything I could hope for, smaller and lighter, the slide feature, and was on sale! Pulling it out of the box I found that only 2 parts had to be installed and it was ready to cut. Smooth, accurate cuts

Cuts smoothly, really adjustable, and compact so I can store it in our tiny garage. I was worried that it would be able to cut boards as large as I'd like, but it glides out for taller boards, and i can just flip around anything larger to get the other side.

Saw guard issue

Great little miter saw until the saw guard came loose in the middle of a cut. Only had a couple dozen cuts with it at the time.

Nice miter saw, buy a back-up blade

This is a good miter saw, lightweight with extra features. Due to it's lightweight, it feels low end, but I trust Kobalt so am sure it is heavier duty than it seems. However, the blade they supply with it it incredibly sub-par. I am not a professional nor do I use the saw regularly but the blade that came on the saw is dull after a month of periodic use. Cannot cut 4x4

Before I bought this saw I searched and found multiple people had answered the question if you can cut a 4x4, and all said yes. The ONLY way you can cut a 4x4 is by cutting one side and then turning the wood over to cut through the other side, but you cannot cut straight through on a single pass. If I’d known this, I wouldn’t have bought it. This saw seems to work fine for cutting 2x4 and trim.

Great miter saw, no issues right from the start. Unpacked checked for accuracy, no adjustments needed and got straight to work. Cuts are great the algnment and bevel features are easy to use and right in the from. Crosscuts are smooth and made eaier with the shadow guide feature.
