Great bargain. Love that all the controlling is done from the front of the saw. Miter and bevel are right there and easy to find. Adjusting the saw is easy and was pretty much true out of the box. The blade change is a bit fiddly, but there are workarounds. Overall, outstanding especially considering the price.

Bad switch
On/off switch. Seems to be a known issue. Kobalt and Lowes point at each other after 90 days. Easy to find replacements as everyone needs them.

They don't carry replacement parts
I bought a previous version of this saw. The saw is great and has lasted many years. But the blade guard recently broke while cutting. So... I called Kobalt to inquire about purchasing a replacement blade guard. They do not carry replacement parts. This is really not acceptable in this day and age. Now I am going to be sending this perfectly working tool to the landfill only because I can not purchase a simple replacement part to make it safe to operate.
First Impressions
Just got this saw and haven’t done much with it yet. That said it feels well made. Feature set is very nice. All this said there is one thing that i would like to criticize. There is not even a basic provision for wood support on either side of the cutting deck which seems like an obvious omission, however to make matters worse at least the deck height should have been designed at the same height as a standard 2x4 width so you could use blocks of wood for your cut supports.
