Great

Great

Great deal for two batteries

Needed supplemental batteries for my 5 year old self propelled mower. This works out great to give me a bit extra mowing time, and a new string trimmer to boot. My only complaint is assembly of the trimmer. The bolts to attach the guard were too short, having a washer on them I could not get off. Had to get a bit longer bolts. The trimmer seems solid and works well.

Light and powerful

Batteries hold a charge well!

The extra battery is great to have. However, a single charge of one battery allowed me to trim my entire yard and fence line with enough power remaining to switch it over to my blower (purchased previously) and blow off my back patio, front walkway and driveway.

Assembly process for 5 screws took 53 minutes

Powder coated bolt heads coated so thickly that included Allen key is too large to fit, provide your own. screw holes that aren't tapped, hope you have a tap and know how to use one. Phillips heads so poorly milled you can't keep a driver from jumping out for more than a quarter turn without jumping

Significantly eliminated features, not happy!

I purchased this trimmer to replace our existing 80v Kobalt trimmer, which broke in half, (it failed just past the warranty period). This trimmer doesn't support multiple heads, so I am no longer able to "swap-out" the head and use my edger attachment nor my hedge-hog attachment. I assume Lowe's is trying to save a few $$$, so they've gone downscale with their tools. Wish I'd had know that before spending all of that $$$ on their proprietary batteries that I can't use in any other devices!

Solid device

Feels very solid yet relatively light. Variable cutting diameter and two spin rates were not on my previous version. I

Never buy this product

i purchased on years ago that works good, but the string guard broke off shaft. They don't make a replacement part for it. Most weedeaters make replacement part for around $32. Kobalt is basically telling me to buy a new $250 trimmer.

Get a shoulder harness it's a back saver

Trusted kobalt for years, had a 40 volt weed eater that was great but needed a little bigger one to do my land and gave the 40volt to my son. This one outlasts me as far as charge is concerned

Great quality and performance!

The tool was very easy to assemble and the charging of the battery was fool-proof. The items worked perfectly straight out of the box. It has plenty of power to do what is needed and I highly recommend this item! I also ordered the 80v Lawnmower. My results with it were the same. I love these tools!

Awesome products

I purchased an 80 volt trimmer from Kobalt 10 years ago and it never gave me an oz of trouble, LOVED IT. Thats why I purchased another.

Been using this exact model before-it’s great

Good product. Easy to use. Good instructions to put together

Delivered a day late. FedEx driver left my package 1000ft from my house at the end of my driveway, by the road, where anyone could easily grab it. I guess he/she was too lazy to bring it that extra 1000ft. I don't know about the product yet. Haven't assembled it.

Have used it for years

I bought one over 5 years ago when it was on sale for $198.00 with 2 batteries. This thing is used quite often and works great with good battery life. My only complaint is no grease fittings, I had to find some to fit. Respooling it is VERY easy and there is detailed instructions on YouTube.

awkward trigger

It's not easy to keep the power trigger pressed while weed eating. The older model was much easier to use.

Perfect and light weight

Easy to assemble and use

Frustrating Junk

Replacemnt parts not available. One of the key parts - the BUMP FEEDER BUTTON - breaks off and there is literally NOTHING that you can do to fix it because they have such weird parts on this thing. Lowes is a giant company nickle and diming wherever they can. Stay away from Kobalt products because Lowes will not stand behind anything they make.
