Would RecommendPros: Solid generator with multiple outlets. Capable backup and work options. Started on third pull out of the box and first pull ever since. Cons: It is loud. Even at a moderate distance you will need ear protection to work near it. Although functional for emergency power, if you have neighbors close by, will want a long cord to share power with them so they won’t complain. Especially at night. Missing: Maintenance details/recommendations.
An awesome 2-fuel generator!
Would RecommendThis generator is awesome. It has all the power i need in an emergency, or power outage. It has more than enough power to take my travel trailer/RV out boondocking. It started on the second pull using gasoline. It fired on the first pull using propane. I really like that feature. My RV has two 30# propane tanks. I also like the very simple starting instructions right on the front.
Job site workhorse.
Would RecommendI think this is probably a great option for a construction site, throw in the back of the truck and use it at a location that has no electricity. An 8 hour day would be no problem, and with the option to use gasoline AND propane means that you could run this for a long time, with some propane tanks. It would also be a good (small) house backup (which is how I'm using it). It has pull start, no battery, but was very easy to get running. Nice heavy duty steel frame around the unit looks like it o...
Great generator for backup needs
Would RecommendThis generator is a great thing to have for backup power. It started right up when pulling the first time on both gas and propane. I was able to use it to charge my EV (at 20 amps) and run most of the things in my house, even my central air conditioning as long as nothing else was running. It was easy to assemble and move around with the collapsible handle. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a generator in this power range.
Power up
Would RecommendReceived the generator in a box. Which required minimum assembly. Put on the wheels, tires and fill with proper amount of oil provided. I added gasoline and put it on full choke and started on second pull. Runs smooth and fairly quiet compared to other I've seen and heard. Really like the hour meter which help on tracking when it's due a service. The folding handle is a plus. Best of all is that it's dual fuel gas and propane so if you run out of gas you can use the propane cylinder from your b...
Outstanding features for portable generator
Would RecommendThis Kobalt dual fuel generator uses either gas or propane fuel. It hold 8 gallons of gasoline. It features a muffler for noise control as well as a steel frame which is very durable. The product weighs near 150 pounds in the box as delivered. As we removed the box, the generator is well packaged and secured for transport. For assembly, my husband easily attached the handle, wheels, and feet for stability. There are 4 wrenches included. On 8 gallons of gas at half power this generator runs for...
Dual fuel security
Would RecommendWhen we got this dual fuel generator, my husband was like a kid at Christmas. He unpacked it and put it together the same night. He is very impressed that we have the option of using propane or gasoline. It was very easy to attach the propane tank to the generator and it starts easily. Because of all the trees in my neighborhood, limbs constantly fall on the power lines. I like knowing I have a generator to use that can keep food from spoiling and allow me to continue working from home. This gen...

This generator is Amazing and works flawlessly
Would RecommendI absolutely love the Kobalt 5500E Dual Fuel Portable Generator! It’s powerful, easy to use, and runs smoothly on both gas and propane. The dual fuel option is a great feature and gives me peace of mind during outages. Shipping was a bit rough—the packaging was damaged and the unit had a few cosmetic issues—but I was able to sort it out, and it works perfectly. Once I got it running, it performed flawlessly and exceeded my expectations. It’s a reliable, well-built generator that I’m confident wi...
Very versatile
Would RecommendGreat for emergency back up power or where you need power where there is none. The unit will run on gasoline or propane which makes it versatile. Provides both 120 and 240 volts.
Great generator
Would RecommendGreat generator that comes pretty much ready to run right out of the box. Just have to add handle, wheels, oil and then your fuel source. This generator is small enough for easy maneuverability around the outside of your house with the convenient wheels and pull handle. Transporting it to job sites you definitely would want a ramp or two people to lift in the back of a vehicle. With the option of having gas or propane as the fuel source, it makes it nice for people who don’t use it on a regular ...

Great to use with our camper!
Would RecommendMany great features with this generator. Wheel kit makes this generator easy to move. One of the great things about this generator is that with propane it limits the gas smell. It is perfect for use with a camper has 30 amp fuse Powerful and not loud. Easy to put together.
Dual Fuel
Would RecommendThis generator is a game changer being dual fuel - hooking up a propane tank is going to be so much simpler than gas. I'm sure we will use both fuels but it's so nice to have this option. I'm sure it will pull what we need to keep refrigerators, tv and lights going in our home.
