Ratings & Reviews for Kobalt 48V MAX (24Vx2) 15-in Attachment Capable Battery String Trimmer Kit, (2) 3.0Ah Batteries and Charger Included

Great trimmer

I've been waiting to upgrade my old 40v kobalt trimmer, i love the quick line reload feature and the ease to swap the universal options

Kobalt out did themselves

I like that the weedeater takes two 24v batteries which I have plenty off. The 24v batteries are cheaper than buying the 40v battery.

2 speed

This is a great tool it has the same battery my drill and tile saw have . This weed eater is made for universal parts. Has a easy to use design and 2 speeds for tough weeds.

Trimmer

The double battery setup does add more weight to the backend but works really well

Affordably priced electric trimmer

Perfect weight and enough power for my yard projects

Great light String Trimmer with long lasting batte

I have used a competing brand for a while and was interested to use this Kobalt brand to compare. The unit is lighter than others and is very intuitive to operate. It cuts well and the guard is effective. I have around 1/2 acre that is fenced with a lot of mulched trees on the lot. I started with two fully charged batteries and set a stopwatch to see how long the batteries would last. Traveled down one fence line (126 ft), down the next (110), then began trimming around the tree bases (14 trees)...

Good trimmer and universal system

Love the accessory charger

Better than expected! More powerful than others!

*Attachment-capable design allows the power head to be used with other attachments (edger, blower, etc.). *This string trimmer is designed as a replacement for a gas powered trimmer with the 48 volt (2 x 24v batteries) brushless motor offering heavy duty performance in a lighter weight tool. Electric trimmers eliminate mixing gas and oil and the fumes associated with gas trimmers plus the engine noise. The Kobalt trimmer performs very well for residential grass & light weed trimming but like mo...

Right tool for the job

I have a zero-turn lawnmower for my large yard, but needed a weed eater to work the many areas I could not easily reach with the lawnmower. This model was the perfect choice: it is powerful, relatively lightweight, the batteries last a long time and charge quickly. I also use it for edging and it does a great job. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Great buy.

Great product. Easy to use, lightweight and comfortable. Very durable and convenient.

powerful

I have a 40cc gas weedeater and this new 48v max weedeater will out perform it in every way. I was already committed to the 24v battery platform and now that they have these new tools, I can get 40v power without having to buy different batteries. I got the brush cutter attachment and its powerful enough to cut through inch plus brush. love this tool.

Powerful

I have a 40cc stihl and ill take kobalt weedeater over my stihl any day.. It has great power, the brush cutter attachment cuts through inch plus brush. I already had a ton of 24v batteries so now I have the power of 40v without having to change batteries. Fantastic!

Handy Trimmer

I have a small-sized yard and got this trimmer to replace my old one. I really like it. The batteries have enough charge for me to do my whole yard. It is lighter than my old gas trimmer and is easy to operate. It comes with two batteries and two power levels to select from. I use both power levels, the 1 speed level on my flower beds and trees and 2 level on everything else. I was able to use it as an edger on my front sidewalk. It is well built and easy to assemble. It took me about fifteen mi...

Great trimmer!

Battery life was great. Weeded two yards on the ‘1’ setting and only used one bar of battery life. Even on ‘1’ there was plenty of power to get the job done. I do wish the guard was bigger as debris got thrown back against my legs but other than that, it’s great!

Good quality replacement for a gas trimmer

I ordered this to replace a gas powered trimmer, of which I've had two of in the past three years. I have a larger yard than most in my neighborhood so I've figured gas would be the best option for power and performance, but this Kobalt 48v trimmer has proved me wrong. Unpacking and setting it up took me less than five minutes, and charging the batteries with the included USB-C charger took less than an hour. It came with a USB-C 65w power brick charger and another one that slides over the top o...

Great electric trimmer

An amazing trimmer kit capable to use different attachments, powered by two batteries included in the box, works extremely well batteries last a Long time and you can used them on all the powered tools from Kobalt

powerful

powerful weed eater but they forgot my free attachment when I picked it up and now they won't honor it bad business... on there behalf but the weed eater is great but hard on the hands about vibrating

Definitely Recommend the 48V Max(24Vx2)

Easy to use and does a great job- My lawn looks great

Big FAN!!

I'm a big fan of this battery powered weed eater! I have a really big yard, and battery powered options have just not worked in the past, however I was able to use this one for about 20 minutes, with it mostly on the higher speed setting. And it had plenty of power to get through some thick stuff! I plan to get another set of batteries to allow for additional time. (Pro tip - shift the grab handle forward to help the balance and not put as much strain on the back hand.) With both two power ...
