What Customers Are Saying

Customers overwhelmingly praise the drill bit for cutting through tile, glass, and porcelain with precision and minimal chipping, with most reporting clean, chip-free holes even on demanding projects. Many highlight that wet drilling significantly improves performance and speed. However, some report structural concerns, including hollow shaft bending or twisting after just one or two holes, particularly on thicker materials. Reviewers note success depends heavily on proper technique—starting at a 45-degree angle, maintaining steady pressure, and keeping RPMs low. Despite durability concerns from a notable minority, most customers find it effective for tile work when used correctly.

Worked !

Would Recommend

Had to drill holes in tile to install towel rods , towel hook and medicine cabinets 10 holes in all. It did a good job it took some time you have to take your time and don’t rush it. I found out it cuts better if you keep spraying water on and in the hohe so as to not heat up the saw to much. I think it has a few more holes left in it’s life so for the fair price it’s well worth it. Also make sure you clean out the hole in the saw (bit) and it will go a little easy.

Highly recommend for glass tile

Would Recommend

Works as advertised! Used this drill bit to install a glass panel into our walk-in shower. We have glass tile and it worked with relative ease drilling 4 holes. I suggest watching some YouTube vids to familiarize yourself with the process as it takes a lot of patience when drilling through glass without cracking it.

Doesn't work well with porcelain tile

Would Not Recommend

Used on porcelain tile and literally had to wear a hole thru; only one hole per drill bit and it bent. Recommend Milwaukee; cuts much better with porcelain

It works!

Handy person but no experience cutting into countertops before. Was able to get perfect cut into a quartz countertop. Angled going in, straightened out, stopped intermittently to dip in water and used the shop vac to grab dust. Got through about 1.5 inches of quartz in 10 minutes of trying.

Disappointed in this product

Would Not Recommend

I bought this bit to use for the two holes in my new walk-in shower for the main showerhead and hand-held showerhead. The tile involved is polished porcelain about 3/8 in. thick. All I can say is that it did ultimately get the job done, even wetted, but I believe that it's worn out. The process was very slow. I needed to finish the holes on the back side of the tiles by using my 4-1/2 in. grinder with a diamond blade.

Super clean cut

Super clean cut… I was worried about a chip and having to replace the tile, but this cut in perfectly so I could place an anchor. I used this for a shower rod and worked perfectly

Good for cutting in shower heads.

Haven’t used it yet, but Lowe’s is pestering me to review it. It seems to look like every other home saw and it measures true, so no complaints. That’s all.

Worked great on porcelain tile!

Would Recommend

I had to make 2 cuts for my tub and shower holes. It was difficult to line it up to the exact spot so I drilled a hole iinto a scrap piece of tile. I used it as a template and clamped it to the piece iI needed to cut. It was a perfect cut each time.

cut clean and fast with no chipping, the hole saw is rugged made and the blue paint is very durable. make sure the drill you are using has a nice chuck to keep the hole saw tight

Decent product, with limitations

Would Recommend

I used this hole saw to drill a hole in a piece of ceramic tile. This style of hole saw does not have a pilot bit, which makes it very hard to start a hole in a particular location. You have to start out very slowly, holding the drill firmly. Movement will allow the bit to "walk" over your work, scarring the surface. Slow speed works best, and clear the dust occasionally. One hole did seem to remove most if not all of the diamond chips from the edge of my product, and cutting the last thir...

Simple durable product.

Would Recommend

Let me be honest, I have never used a tool like this before and to be honest I’m not sure I did it correctly. however, my terra-cotta pot has the holes in it that I required. Instructions and tool or simple and it’s self easy to use, and seems pretty durable to me. Now keep in mind I am only using this as a light use very very gently making holes for my bird bath and when chimes. I think this product would be great fry crafting projects as well as home improvement.

Great product for DIY'er

Would Recommend

I needed a small hole saw to bore through newly installed tile for a toilet paper holder. I wasn't certain what size hole to bore, so I ordered a 1/4" bit and a 5/16" as backup. I started with the 1/4" and it ended up working fine, so this review is based on the 1/4" size, but it would apply to the 5/16" as well. I first marked the location of the two holes. I wanted to use it wet, so I had my wife hold a wet sponge above each location and slowly squeeze as I drilled. I quickly learned that it's...
