Ratings & Reviews for Kobalt 100 -Piece Chrome Household Tool Set with Hard Case

Great Value

Just as I expected

Case arrived demolished

Product was ordered and shipped promptly. When I received the toolbox and opened up the box there was sounds of loose tools, some to find out the hinges on the front left corner of the toolbox and back right corner of the toolbox were not connected. The left side was flopping over so I drew concerned and undid the cardboard that surrounded the entire tool kit to further inspect the toolbox itself. I found pieces of plastic in the bottom of the shipping box and upon opening the cardboard overlay,...

Sturdy

Great product, easy to use and find tools

Really a 98-Piece tool set -- Missing tools!!!

You buy a decent starter tool set as a Christmas gift for someone and it's missing tools. I don't know how both extensions were NOT in the box. Makes a person wonder about Kobalt's quality control. Other than that it's a nice starter tool set, but I would check for all tools before buying. Unfortunately, I purchased online. I had faith that what I was buying online would be what I would receive. * Lets see how hard it's going to be for me to rectify this issue with customer service.

I did not pick this up!!!

Got an email saying I picked up my order successful and we have NOT picked this up. How is this even possible? I never received an email saying it was ready and what my locker was … help!

Don’t Waste Your Money

While I am happy with the tools, at least the sockets,(the rest are garbage), the case is horrible. Mine fell apart the first time I used it. Stick with Craftsman

Arrived Broken

pictures do the talking

Where u get it you will know too.

Nice just what i needed.

Quality tools

Great tool set! everything in a handy case.

Tool box

Haven't use it yet, but looks very good!!

Case was broken, twice.

Not able to even use the tools because the first one I received was shattered where the buckets clasp and rear corner. When returning for another one the same day....the second one was also broken at the same corner! If the case can't hold up to shipment then it's probably not for you. For almost $200 I feel the case should be able to withstand shipment or have better shipment handling practices. Definitely does NOT give me confidence to purchase this brand ever.

Lotsa pieces, compartments are hold to open

The individual compartments are hard to open

Damaged box & tools missing/bent

As soon as I open the package, the tool box was already damaged. Having hard time with the drawers, won’t open and close properly. Next, lowes adds more to this awful online order experience, was to go to the store myself and return it. Last, this is an overpriced item, becareful.

As soon as I open box found received a damaged tool box, its drawers are so hard that won’t open and close properly. Next, only option Lowes gave me, after they receiving a damaged item, was to go to the store myself again to return it and then reorder it. This is really not an good experience of online ordering.

It's only as strong as it's weakest plastic point

May as well have used plastic for the clasp closures too. With a heavy set of tools the metal clasps failed 6 months after I got it. They pulled right out of the plastic they were attached to. Going all metal from now on.

Decent tools horrible case

The tools are alright. Hard to read the sizes. But the case is the worst. The tools just sit in it so and kind of moving it around causes the tools to toss in the case, then you can’t get the drawers open bc there are sockets keeping it from opening

A good box that could be improved

Nice tool set for keeping tools highly organized. Size numbers on the metric pieces are big enough to read easily, the SAE fraction markings were not as well thought out as the font is much smaller on the multi digit fractions like 5/16. There is plenty of room on the socket for the font to be bigger. The Kobalt font is huge compared to the size which shows marketting has is more important at Kobalt that functionality. It is very important to know the socket size much less important to read t...
