Disappointed!

I've just pick up this Kobalt 100 pcs. tool and decided to return it tomorrow. Reasons: 1. Tools are not properly attached. It just fell off where it is placed. 2. The layers / drawers are not on their respective shelves. The groves are not on the lines; think of different drawers just on top of each other. Case arrived demolished

Product was ordered and shipped promptly. When I received the toolbox and opened up the box there was sounds of loose tools, some to find out the hinges on the front left corner of the toolbox and back right corner of the toolbox were not connected. The left side was flopping over so I drew concerned and undid the cardboard that surrounded the entire tool kit to further inspect the toolbox itself. Nice tools in a lame tool case

This is a decent assortment of tools but unfortunately the box isn't molded properly, so the tool trays don't stay in place, and just stack up in a pile in the case. There is nothing except a slightly snug fit keeping the trays from sliding out of the main tool case. The latches are on a separate piece that hardly stays in place and is only held in place by two loose plastic pins. If the case was improved, I could recommend this item. Tool Chest w/tools

Ordered 2 tool chests. Both came damaged. Repaired the best I could. Tools were fine. Tool drawers and chest are plastic and cannot handle the weight of the tools and the delivery abuse. All drawers had collapsed on each other in both chests and the tool chest expanded to the point that the drawers would not remain in their position in the chest. Like others say - great tools but lousy case

I just picked this set up and knew going in from these reviews that the case wasn't good. That's an understatement. The bottom drawer won't come out unless the other drawers are removed first. Not sure why Kobalt would sell a quality set of lifetime guaranteed tools in such a cheap toolbox. We have a ranch home that we're building so I was looking for an organized set that I could take back and forth. A good box that could be improved

Nice tool set for keeping tools highly organized. Size numbers on the metric pieces are big enough to read easily, the SAE fraction markings were not as well thought out as the font is much smaller on the multi digit fractions like 5/16. There is plenty of room on the socket for the font to be bigger. The Kobalt font is huge compared to the size which shows marketting has is more important at Kobalt that functionality. The tool CARRIER is JUNK

The tools seem very nice, nice variety of tools, No hammer. BUT the Case the tools are in is wobbly plastic. The drawers dont stay in, they just fall onto each other. The tools bounce around. I would not recommend to a friend. We bought for my grandsons 16 th birthday and were embarrassed that the drawers dont even fit in the case at the very beginning. Good tools, drawers too close together and rub.

I like the tool assortment. Its a good mix of tools to have at hand on my workbench in the basement. The tools themselves, I would give 4 stars to. Now for the blow-molded tool chest... I really didn't expect much of anything from China. I swear i spent a LOT of time looking for something manufactured in USA. No one builds an assorted tool set in a toolbox. Period! Broken Case

I bought this tool set online and had to drive an hour to pick it up. When I got home I noticed that the case is already broken. I can't believe that Lowes would sell this tool set with a broken case. It doesn't say much for Kobalt either that they would build something so cheap.

Poor quality tool box

Third one I have gotten. The first 2 broke in the corners. Had one shipped to me. The quality of the tool box itself is junk. The tools are fine. I was going to use it for my camper and truck but the quality of the tool box is horrible. I'll be returning this one too. Good concept, cheap workmanship.
