What Customers Are Saying
The socket is well-made and durable, able to handle high torque without breaking even when used in unintended ways. It is particularly useful for removing and replacing water heater elements, providing a secure grip and enough leverage. Customers appreciate the fair price and the availability of just the single socket size they needed.

Would RecommendNeeded a sturdy tool to remove our water heater elements. This worked fine. I thought it needed to be a deep socket but this one worked fine.

Website inventory incorrect
Would Not RecommendWent to pick one up. Web states two in stock, so thought would be good. None on shelf. Mentioned to employee at check out and was told “yeah, anything below five is usually empty “. Disappointing response and inventory system
Did the job!!!
Would RecommendThis is the tool that you will need to replace an electric hot water tank heating element. The other tool that recommended did provide the tork needed to remove the existing element. I wish someone would have recommended this. I had to make an extra trip to Lowe’s which added another hour to me wrapping up the job
Another tool for my Harley Davidson
Would RecommendSuch a simple well made socket that makes the job easier. No more skinned knuckles making do with something that just barely works.

Get this socket for water heater elements!
Would RecommendI had to change water heater elements and struggled for an hour with the cheap wrench and channel locks until I finally went and bought this socket! Then the elements came out no problem! Should have bought this first thing!
FOR REPLACING WATER HEATER ANODE ROD
Would RecommendNeeded this socket to replace anode rod from water heater. Thin-walled enough to fit inside trim ring.

Awesome for water heater work
Would RecommendMy water-heater repair skills were pretty rusty (pun intended), and one of the problems I encountered were electric elements that would not unscrew with the inexpensive socket I had previously used. Too much torque was going into deflecting the shaft of my 16" screwdriver. Found this at Lowe's, mated it up with my 20"x1/2" torque wrench and the elements loosened up with no effort at all. Way better than the first solution I considered, which was a 3/4"-drive socket and 1/2-3/4 adapter available ...
Great for water heater element
Would RecommendBought this for replacing our hot water heater elements. The elements were slightly rounded off from using an old element removal wrench that fit loosely, but this socket bit tightly and we got the job done quickly. Also, it's heavy and sturdy, and it clicks tightly onto the ratchet.

Wish it were available in 3/8" drive
Would RecommendI purchased this for the anode rod in a Suburban RV water heater. I would rather have found this in 3/8" drive as that would have suited my needs better. Fortunately, I had previously purchased a set of adapters which included 3/8 to 1/2" drive. Given that I needed that adapter or to purchase a 1/2" drive ratchet, it makes it a little less than a bargain. Aside from that, the quality appears to be excellent and it should give many years of service.

This is the right tool for the job
Would RecommendThe task was to remove a very tight fitting water heater resistance element. i tried other tools. They wouldn't fit right without slipping off, even though they were all supposedly the right size. Then I went down to Lowes and bought this socket. I used it with a 15" breaker bar and applied all the torque I could. The socket held fast, and, presto, the element started to turn and I accomplished the task.

Excellent product for the price
Would RecommendI bought this socket to remove lawn tractor blades. My intentions was to use on a breaker bar, but found my old lawn tractor had torqued nuts on blades. I have used this socket on a torque wrench against my better judgement . So I have to give it an excellent rating , due to actual misuse and its high quality material it is made from. I do not recommend anyone using it this way, but I am impressed with the quality.

Fits the need
Would RecommendThis particular socket is perfect for changing electric water heater elements. It fits exactly and the twelve points allow you to position it easily on the element.

1/2 in. Drive 1-1/2 in. shallow 12point socket.
Would RecommendI had to purchase this to remove the heating elements in my hot water heater, as the "cheap" style socket that you stick a screw driver thru would not even begin to remove the element. I had to use this socket, a rachet, and a breaker bar that fit over the rachet handle in order to break it free. The socket did the job, Although I would have preferred to buy a impact in this size but Lowes does not carry them in this size. But it worked so I am happy with this product.

1/4" Socket For 1/4" Drive
Would RecommendThis is a popular size that is useful alot. I needed more then one but I bought the last one Lowe's had. I will buy another one next time I visit a Lowe's because they get misplaced at my house. One is never enough. I like the red circle for ease of spotting it when I need this size.
