Decent tool set.

It's a nice set but it's hard to read the laser-etched sizes. The word "Kobalt" is stamped in massive letters but not the sizes.

I love the kobalt 227 tool set I bought mine about two years ago but in the first year of carrying in and out of my truck the hard case fell apart but the tools are awesome for the price

kobalts gotten cheap

I've always used kobalt because they were economical and decent. I have socket sets from years ago I still use. Recently I purchased this case because it was on deal and who doesn't like organization. sike. i run a small business so its nice to have a one stop grab. I've had them less than a week 2 sockets are stripped my 1/2" rachet is stripped and to top it off I grabbed it this morning to work on the mower and the handle lock broke and sockets went everywhere.

Great tools & price - hard to read socket sizes.

Good: Large assortment of deep and shallow 6 and 12 point sockets. Great having 1/4”, 3/8”, and 1/2” drive sets in one. Bad: Etching on sockets showing size is hard to read.

Great, but only 1 issue

This is a great little set. Everything in its little place and organized. The only issue I have is they packaged 2 7/16 1/2 inch sockets, and did not package the 22 mm socket.

Box needs work

Tools are Great, Box not so much. I like the tool set. It is diverse enough to handle most mechanical needs, but... I prefer longer extensions for automotive work and prefer holders that secure the sockets and parts.

I bought the set to use at my vacation home and have just used the tools on one job. They appear to be of good quality and a good assortment. My only real complaint is that the size markings are very difficult to read. I could not read the markings at all on the smaller sockets. I've written the sizes on the sides of the sockets with a sharpie so the problem seems to have been solved. You will also need to keep a small screwdriver in the bottom drawer to pry some of the sockets out of their tray...

Good concept, poor design

Love the Kobalt brand all around. For what I need it for, it fits the bill. The tools themselves seem to be pretty decent quality, love the Pro 90 ratchets. Great organization for everything with plenty of space for misc add-ons. The case (like most people had already said) is cheaply made with thin plastic blow-molding. You do receive a WIDE range of socket sizes all the way up to 1", which is really nice. All in all, this is a great set for the price, just wish the case was of a better ...

Bad box

Less than six months after I bought this the box warped an the bottom trays fall out. Great tools crappy package.

Bad Case

I got this set but the box it comes in is not very good. Brand new and it looks like the side is coming off. I guess i need to return or contact Lowes.
