Reinvented Locking Pliers

I have used these several times in place of my Vice Grip Pliers. The thing to get use to is the locking and unlocking. My issue is once I got to using them they pinch the heck out of my fingers. I do like the design but the pinch almost all the time would keep me from buying more of these.

I've used the curved jaw pliers to lock on to a object bend it back in place the thing is I had use a hammer to beat on the pliers to bend the object cause of the angel. I was just hoping for the best. Great Tool Every Shop Needs

It took me a while to use these products to do a task that challenged them appropriately. These are a lot like vice grip pliers but the difference is what makes them stand out. Very good

These are a major leap forward from the old standard style locking pliers. They are more comfortable to handle and lock more easily. They are stronger and are heavier than the old style, and much easier to grip. I would definitely recommend them.

These ar some of the best pliers I have ever used. They are very comfortable and really lock down well!

I like the set, especially the small pliers

I have used the small pliers more than the large one, and really like the convenient size of the small one and how it can go into tight places. Unlocking it is different from the old pliers we had so it took some getting used to, but easy enough once you get the hang of them. I wish the small one had a wire cutter ability, it does have a pinch place at the joint, but not sharp enough to cut through something, I could use it to hold the item in place and wiggle it so that it would snap off, but n...

Exactly as advertised

They are called one handed locking pliers and they are. It took a moment to get my hands to do it just the correct way, but it works very well. I was able to lock onto a nut and tighten it down, then release the pliers with just one hand. The large 10% pliers are sturdy and a nice grip on the handle. The 6.5" are a nice compliment for my tool box.

Good product but could be better

The 10 inch pliers are excellent. Hold tight and easy to use with one hand. Locking feature took a few times to get used to. Once I used them a few times it was very intuitive and easy. Fits well in my hand (I wear a large glove size). The 6.5 inch narrow nose pliers are disappointing. The mechanism works well. However the non-fixed side of the pliers mouth does not line up with the fixed side. It moves very freely and even when I tried to try an line the edges up, they will not stay aligned. Wh...

Excellent Upgrade to an Old Standby Tool

The first impression is the heft of each tool letting you know it's made for hard work. The comfort grips are well made and look to provide good wearability. Good looking solid tools! But the real upgrade came once I mastered the "one hand opening" technique. It took a few tries, especially on the larger plier. Impressed

As expected from Kobalt, these pliers are high quality, and I appreciate quality. It is definitely unlikely that I will ever need to purchase a plier set again. I especially like the locking feature. I wish the set supplied instructions so that I would not have needed help from my husband! That being said, with a little assistance, I thought the pliers were very user friendly. Overall, I am pleased with this item and think it is an excellent choice for anyone who needs to buy pliers.

Great set of locking pliers

This two pair set of Kobalt locking pliers work very well. They are very easy to lock and unlock one handed. Locking them closed is as easy as squeezing the handles together. Unlocking is also done by squeezing the handles while depressing the release button with your index finger. The adjustment screw is designed to allow a wrench or tommy bar to be used to turn it. This strikes me as overkill since the adjustment is only done while the jaws are unlocked and the screw turns quite easily. ...

I found that the plier set works great after a short break in period. It took about 6 opening and closings to get them to operate smoothly. They work great and really clamp well, as expected, much better than the old style vise grips. I would like a better lubricant on the adjusting screws, I believe they would turn more smoothly. Nice set of locking pliers

An improvement of the old vice grips. A set of 10 in and 6.5 in locking pliers. Both have real nice plastic coated grippy handles with a nice low impact release feature. Innovative Product

I have not had the pleasure of fully testing these vise grips. The clamping and release mechanism seems to be a lot easier than the traditional vise grip release. It is very easy to clamp tightly on a bolt or nut and the release is even easier. The only drawback I see right now is the slop in the jaws grasping evenly. I had to replace the boards on my trailer so I wanted to see if my pliers set on would work on the rusted carriage bolts on my trailer. I used the 10 inch on the top round head carriage bolt and the 6.5 inch on the bottom nut used a screwdriver to tighten the pliers then started turning and within a half turn the bolt broke in half and I went to the next bolt . I was amazed that the teeth on both pliers gripped and held first try and the quick release made my work go faster.

Nice durable plier set. It has a rugged feel to it and rubber grips that help when using it. The teeth lock easy and are strong. The lifetime garauntee is an added bonus. They are heavy but I like this in a vice grip.
