Ratings & Reviews for Kobalt 350-Lumen 4 -Mode LED Headlamp

Bright and lightweight headlamp!

This is a very bright headlamp that is lightweight and easy to use. The adjustable strap is strong but flexible and comfortable. It is long enough to fit the largest of noggins and adjustable enough to fit a small child. This has bright, low, strobe, and red light settings which are accessed by multiple button presses. I can't say how long the batteries will last but knowing these are LED bulbs I suspect they will have a pretty long run time.

Home/Car/Workshop Must-Have

This is a review of the Kobalt brand 450 lumen LED Headlamp. Once again, Kobalt’s R & D team has done its homework on producing a rugged product that addresses the needs of professionals and DIY-ers alike. This handy unit comes complete with three AAA batteries, adjustable comfort headband, and LED lamp unit. The lamp has four push-button activated settings: Setting #1 is a very bright, intense white light (450 lumens), one that can be blinding if one looks directly into it. Setting #2 is a...

Excellent "Hands Free" light source

This Kobalt headlamp is a great light source when you need that "focused / additional" light source. I've used it in our attic while I was adding some insulation boards and I've used it when I was tying my fishing flies. The headband is wide enough to keep the lamp in place and is very comfortable. The battery access is a simple clip you lift with one finger then push forward. The light beam is perfect for seeing those fine details in your work. Great addition for anybody's toolbox. Only reaso...

good light, bad design

so I've used this for a few projects, including some attic work and working on my truck... the good - bright light, long battery life, comfortable. the bad - the huge battery compartment. so it has multiple modes of light and a red light. but the most annoying thing about this product is the battery compartment, it's huge and will hurt the back of your head if you are laying on your back. why not make the battery compartment part of the light?

Great light for working in tight places

This is a great light for working in tight places. Includes the 2 AA batteries you need. Don't know how long the batteries last, yet. Has two useful light settings, full on and half bright. Also flashes, which might be useful if you were riding a bike at night. Easy to put on and take off.

Amendment to my previous review

In my initial review, I low-rated this headlamp because I couldn’t get the strap tight around my head. I see in the details that it is meant to mount on a HARDHAT. It should work fine.

Excellent Kobalt 200 Lumins LED Headlamp

This Kobalt 200 Lumens LED Headlight is easy to use, easy to adjust to your head, and very bright! This is the first headlamp I've used and found it extremely useful and comfortable. Includes two AA batteries.

Could use improvement

Headlamps are handy things to have when you need about three hands: two to work and one to hold the light. The light output is pretty good on this unit. It also has three settings for the main LEDs: bright, dimmer and strobe. There are also two additional LEDs under the four main ones. These produce a red light. I was disappointed on the headband adjustment. I couldn’t get it as tight as it needed to be.

Great Product

I have used multiple head lamps. Mostly for night fishing. I picked this up and I really like it. Simple to use and durable. I not only will use this while working but I will probably pick up a few more of these and use them for night fishing as well.

Great item

This is a great item if you have ever worked in low or no light it puts the light right where you need it. I have been looking for a great product like this.

Well Made, Very Bright

Works great. Very bright on high setting, low setting is what I use most of the time. Unit is very small, and does not have a secondary unit to contain the batteries. Strap is very flexible and does not contain any hard plastics. It fits well and stays in place during use. Only complaint is that the on/off button can be difficult to find, as it is very small.

Great headlamp with lots of light

My family uses headlamps all the time when camping, and they always seem to break, wear out, or just plain fail. This one feels like it has higher quality headband material that is pretty soft and doesn't make my forehead break out. The 4 LEDs are bright and spreads a good light rather than a spotlight like some of the others I have. When camping, I almost always put it on the lowest light setting, which still seems too bright sometimes, but nice to have options. The light folds out nicely, and ...

Works Great

This Kobalt headlamp works great. I like that it's easy to adjust and comfortable. I have a big head and this fits me comfortably. The light is good and bright. This does include three AAA batteries. The battery cover is very hard to open. I do like that all Kobalt products have a lifetime hassle free guarantee. I gave it four stars because it is so hard to open.

Nice light

This little compact light is awesome. Starches to fit snug on your head. 4 leds are very bright. Runs on 2 aaa batteries enclosed which is a plus. I’m gonna use mine also when tracking game after dark, it allows both hands for branches and balance on uneven ground .

Awesome headlamp!

Works great, light weight and plenty bright. Have owned others before, this feels like a solid improvement over previous ones I’ve had. Seems like a very solid product.

Simple design that works great

This LED hard hat light is very bright and very useful to help keep your hands free while working in poorly lit conditions. Easy to install the batteries and was using it within seconds of opening the package. Run time on the brightest setting is only an hour so use it sparingly. The lowest setting is plenty for most tasks. To secure it to your hard hat you would probably need a couple of zip ties to keep it in place.

Works Great!

Very functional, easy to use, and bright enough to see what I'm doing. I just grabbed some clutter from my work bench, in my dark basement to test this light. The light has 3 settings: Low intensity, high intensity and strobe. The strap is adjustable, and the back of the light is designed not to slip. Even the low light setting was enough to work with but I do prefer the brighter setting as my eyes have aged. The strobe would be a good road-side emergency light, for car or bicycle, bot don't l...

Great Headlamp! A MUST Have!!

This Headlamp is the most convenient and most brilliant light I have ever owned! In the few days I have had it, I have used it constantly on jobs. Our electricity went out and this light saved the day. It has multiple settings, a red light option and a strobe. I'm definitely getting another one very soon. It fits perfectly, has multiple angles of adjustment, and the brightness is off the chart!

Bright

Convenient and bright (higher lumens). The red light option is helpful when going in the woods in the early morning for hunting. I've pretty much replaced all of my standard handheld style flashlights with head lamps and this is a good edition to the set. Its handy to keep one in your vehicles, basement, garage, etc. The head band is tight enough to keep the light its position but not too constraining.

Handy; brighter than I expected

I thought 200 lumens were not enough to be highly effective but it is absolutely bright enough. The headband is easily adjustable and fits really comfortable without leaving pressure marks or slipping. The light weight design and the perfect brightness was great to work with.
