Ratings & Reviews for Kobalt 350-Lumen 4 -Mode LED Headlamp

Bright, but diffuse light

Received as part of the Lowes Loop program. This headlamp has 4 modes; bright, dim, bright flash, and dim red. My 75 yr old eyes need lots of light to see, so I selected the 450 lumen light to review. The 4 led lights are very bright but not focused, so the light produced is very diffuse. Advertised to illuminate up to 60 meters. You could probably see it 60 away, but no way would it illuminate. The headband is comfortable so it could be worn for extended periods without discomfort. The flashing...

Bright light, Gremlins beware.

This is a great little headband light. The 200 lumens really light up a space. I went into a dark closet and could see everything very well. The 2 AAA batteries will keep the lights on for about an hour, it has low, medium and high settings and you can see for up to about 30 to 40 feet. But where this light shines, notice the pun, is in a confined space, like when you have the breakers off and need to do a little electric work in the dark. Or if you are camping and need both hands to fight off a...

Excellent Headlamp

I have come to love Headlamps. This is a great multi-purpose LED lamp. This 450 lumen set has 2 different white light settings. This is an advantage when the full 450 lumen light is too bright for very close-up work ie. installing plumbing fixtures under a close quarter sink. The bright setting often reflects back into my eyes hindering my vision. It has a bright strobe setting which can be used as a roadside emergency warning light, riding a bicycle or even when walking the dog near traffic. It...

Great for Preserving Night Vision

As a pilot, I have to avoid bright lights before and while flying at night. But there are also times when I need a bright white light. This headlamp combines a white light that's almost too bright at its high setting with a red light that won't mess with my night vision. It also has a flashing white mode that I suppose would be most useful for cyclists and others whose concern is to be seen. The light appears to be well-made and comes with batteries and a head strap that fits on a head or a har...

Surprised

Didn't think this would be overly built but I was wrong....it rates with any head lamp I've used...the quality is right on and I'm sure I will get yrs of use from it

Very bright lightweight headlamp!

Great headlamp for working on items needing additional illumination. I have multiple headlamps but this one will be a go to. Time will tell how well the batteries hold up. Pros: - Very bright, 4 modes: Hi, Med, Flash & red LED - Very lightweight and wide range of head band adjustment - Tilts - Only uses 3 AAA batteries Cons: - Hard to open battery compartment, especially for large hands

Very bright - even fits my big head!

At full brightness, the light is very bright. A second push of the power switch reduces the light by about 25% (guesstimate). A third push makes the lights blink - I'm not sure I can think where I would find a blinking head-mounted light useful but I will add to this post if a use occurs to me. A fourth push switches to red LEDs - I'm afraid they're too bright for a B&W photo processing lab - maybe useful at night to preserve a measure of night vision? A BIG con is the latch for the batter...

SUPER BRIGHT but heavy

Light is super bright as it uses 3 AAA batteries. With that said though it’s a little heavy as the 3 AAA batteries are in a battery pack attached to the headband as well. Has 2 brightness levels, one blinking setting, and one red light setting. The light is adjustable with angle on the front which makes for convenient ability to adjust instead of having to adjust your head.

Handy to have, easy to wear.

This Kobalt 350 Lumen LED Headlamp is a handy little tool to have around the house. We are currently doing some work in the attic and hubs says its great as a handfree way to get light into those dark corners. The headlamp comes with batteries and the push button on/off at the top of the light is easy to use. There are four light options: High beam, low beam, blinking and a red light. The lights cycle thru with a touch of the button. I have not personally worn this headlamp, but hubs said it ...

Plenty bright and comfortable

I’ve had & used every sort of headlamp there is in my years of night fishing & hunting. This headlamp fits very well, is comfortable to wear for extended periods, plenty of brightness for all types of use, and last a long time even on the brightest setting. I would purchase again and have recommended to others.

Kobalt headlamp

This is a sturdy and tough headlamp. It is really bright and has the same different modes as other headlamps. It blinks and shines red. I don’t like the battery pack! It sits on the back of your head and I found that it got in the way. It was awkward when working in the yard bending up and down. I have long hair that I put up and it was not comfortable to me.

Heavy and Slips During Use

Multiple settings on lights are good feature. Battery pack is heavy and causes headlamp to slip if it is worn on head instead of hard hat. Packaging was tough to open and no directions on battery insertion and direction to turn battery pack.

Nice and bright, but…

This headlamp can light up a pitch black room with ease. The strap adjust easily to have a comfortable fit. With the battery pack on the back of the strap, it doesn’t pull. The battery pack is also the problem. I used it while laying on the ground, under my car, and I kept knocking it off Trying to slide around with it on either pulled the strap off or down. It was really uncomfortable to lay with it on. That’s the reason for just four stars.

Good quality light

Nice light. Long lasting, solid build not flimsy. Was left outside in the rain with the red light activated. No issues and it didn’t burn through the batteries. The biggest issues with this light is the lack of an over the top head strap. Works best if you wear a hat of some kind to keep it from falling.

Bright!!!

I’m work as an aircraft mechanic and parts are often up inside of dark holes. This works great when I need a free had or when there is no spot for my bigger lights. The light can tilt downward if needed. The blinking mode is not much use to me but may be good for bicycles. I don’t find head lamps particularly comfortable but this one has plenty of adjustment and fit nicely

Very bright for a head lamp

This head lamp is much brighter than the one i usually use at work and has the different settings which make it more adaptable. The only downside is the battery pack is larger but makes sense since it uses 3 aaa batteries instead of 2 and is much brighter

This headlamp is great except for big battery.

This headlamp is great, super bright and I like the adjustable strap. It has three modes, one of which is a red light for emergencies. The one thing I don't care for is the huge battery pack that is on the strap. It sits on the back of your head. The lamp comes with batteries which is nice but I wish they were much smaller and lighter weight. If you needed to lie down and get into tight spaces this wouldn't be the best lamp to use due to the size of the battery pack. This is high quality a...

Produces extremely good light

This light really shows off. As I get older I find the one thing to work is light. I can't read or see small things unless I have sufficient light. This one really shines with its output. I love the two settings for bright and normal(my words). I haven't had cause to use the SOS function (thankfully) or the red setting but they do produce a distinctive light. I did find the battery pack a little awkward on the back of my head. I used it to work under the dash of my car and my head was act...

Super Bright! Very Handy!

Works great working outside at night, bike riding, or working under the house. Light is tiltable and very sturdy. Has 3 selectable modes. Battery life is good.

Bright light

Ok, this head lamp is very bright, which is probably because it uses 3 AAA batteries. This is also the biggest drawback. While bright is nice, the battery pack is clumsy and a little heavy. The pack is weather tight.
