What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this shovel for exceptional root-cutting performance, with most noting it slices through roots up to three inches in diameter with minimal effort. The heavy, sturdy construction and unique blade shape enable users to leverage it as both a cutting tool and pry bar, dramatically reducing physical strain. Many report completing hours-long landscaping tasks in minutes, with users across all physical abilities—including older adults and those with back issues—finding the work surprisingly manageable. A few mention the edge could be sharper initially, and rare instances of bending occur, but these are vastly outweighed by enthusiastic endorsements calling it an essential garden tool.

Would RecommendThis product is amazing. It was exactly what I needed. Recently I’ve been doing projects with my dad in the backyard, everything from building our fence, planting teddy bear magnolias, taking down dead trees before they potentially fall, and putting out mulch and an edging roll. All of these projects in some way included me and my dad having to dig up roots. Some of these roots were massive and we tried so many different things to get them up but the majority of the roots were way too deep for u...

split right down the fiberglass shaft
Would Not Recommendtrying to get a stump out, it split right down the fiberglass shaft. It was in a epic battle against a tree root and the tree root won. not so much a slayer. The blade itself is really good but unfortunately the shaft proved to be the weak point.
Excellent tool for plant removal
Would RecommendIt made short work of a Crepe Myrtle I’d been trying to dig out for weeks. I tried using a regular spade and little hand saw but wasn’t able to remove it. Took literally less than 5 minutes with this tool, worth every penny!

Great spade
Would RecommendDoes the job it was meant for, made trenching easy
Best shovel EVER!!!
Would RecommendThis is the best shovel for gardening that I have ever used. The sawtooth blades on the side cut through turf and dirt with ease. It's narrow enough that you can use it for digging small patches, like to plant nests of bulbs, or in-fill without disturbing nearby plants. Can't recommend it enough! A friend who is an avid gardener recommended it to me and she was absolutely right about how good this product is. In fact, I'm giving one to each of my gardening adult children for Christmas!

Cuts roots but it has big ears
Would RecommendBought this for the obvious reason: digging in an area with roots. My neighbor has an old, tall pine, and my yard is lousy with thin roots. But. . . Holy crap! Slices through the turf like nobody's business. Roots up to about 3/4" (little larger than thumb diameter)? Not a problem. There's a little resistance, but not much. If there's more notable resistance? Put more weight on the flange; it'll push right through. It's great in that aspect. 10/10, would recommend. What stinks about it? This ...

Would Not RecommendAfter breaking 2 shovels trying to get through some roots(palm tree) I seen this shovel, I didn't think it would work but after trying it with this shovel, I got the root ball loose with ease.

Unusually shaped shovel. Never seen anything like
Would RecommendIt's a very sturdy tool. Heavy enough to give it some beef for chopping roots and hard soil. I use it to break the bond between the pot and the soil inside the pot. Just slide the blade down along the inside of the pot to make it easier to remove your plant from the pot. With any potted plant over time there is a bond created between the side of the pot and the soil. Breaking that bond makes it easier to extract your plant.
