Small square

Just the right size - was tired of wrestling with a big one.

I already have plenty of squares but I seen these and they’re extremely legible, if you’re one of the old guys that need reading glasses like me. Worth the purchase.

Measuring marks aren't permanent on the square

Bought this square. It had a large adhesive sticker affix to its surface covering up some of the useable surface. Peeling off the sticker left a sticky residue. Used "Goo off" to remove the sticky adhesive. "Goof off" removed some of the adhesive but also removed the measuring marks. Tossing out this square. Not worth the money.

The square looks ok. I'm no expert though. I'll be slow to buy another Johnson product however unless the sales label is a different kind. It may sound trivial but believe me it has taken me hours to get the adhesive label off. Goo Gone helps but not by a lot. The label can't stay on either if you want to use the scale markings.

Sticker Destroys the Square

Attempted sticker removal results in a sticky mess on the square. Hot water doesn't touch the adhesive. As a last resort tried goo-be-gone. Unsurprisingly it removed the paint. Adhesive was still there though!

This is metal, so durable.

This is a handy little square that has worked well in our amateur home projects; not too big but big enough to help with right angles and straight lines. It's a keeper!

Label Issue

I understand the need to prevent theft by making product labels secure in order to prevent someone from taking it off and walking out of the store but when the label is the cause off measurements being distorted it is going to far. It won't be long until the numbers themselves wear off.

Sturdy and easy to read

The colorings make.it easy to read the making. It is sturdy and works great for me to square up cut and prepared glass pieces. I had no issue getting the label off.

Label came off easy

I bought this item yesterday and had no problem removing the label. It peeled right off and did not have any affect on the markings underneath. Maybe they switched to a less powerful adhesive.

Store Label is Nigh Unremovable & Destroys Square

The store sticker / product label is affixed to one side of this square, and it is extremely difficult to remove. It took me 20 minutes to scrape it off with my fingernails. A plastic paint scraper was not effective, and metal scrapers would also scrape the painted numbers of the square, thus making them also uneffective at removing the label. When the label itself is finally removed, a sticky wonder-glue is left behind which blurs the painted markings of the square if one attempts to rub the gl...
