Ratings & Reviews for Johnson Level Aluminum 24-in 3 Vial Magnetic Box beam level
Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise the exceptional build quality, powerful rare earth magnets, and accurate leveling performance. The sturdy aluminum construction feels substantial yet lightweight, with many noting it outperforms cheaper alternatives and expect years of dependable use. The magnets are described as exceptionally strong, holding the level securely even upside down on steel surfaces. Leveling vials are large, extraordinarily clear, and leave no doubt when true. A few users reported isolated defects like detached magnets or rough marking surfaces, but these were vastly outweighed by positive feedback. Overall, reviewers consider this a reliable long-term investment.

Very clear and easy to read
Strong magnets, but will need to use glue to keep in.
Works great so far!
Would RecommendGreat product. all the other levels I purchased previously end up breaking.
48” Johnson Magnetic Level
Would RecommendGreat quality level. Very visible vials and powerful rare earth magnets. Rugged, yet light weight.
works great
Would Recommendeverything, easy to find and exactly what I needed
Not all that it’s cracked up to be at this price
Would Not RecommendWell it’s good for vertical metal studs but not for horizontal stud work as the earth magnetically are not 16 inch on center so it will fall off.So if anything buy the one that has magnetic strip so it will work both ways.
lifetime guarantee is no good
Would Not RecommendI bought this level about a year ago one vial has a bubble so large you can’t read it, most of the magnets have came out and lowes won’t do anything you must send it back yourself!
Not impressed.
Would Not RecommendBought it because there was no others choices available. Not impressed at all and think it was overpriced. If I had to do it again I would have shopped around for something better priced and better quality. Kinda bulky to use. Especially for the smaller length.

Johnson 24-in Magnetic Box Beam Level
The level looks good overall. The magnets are strong. The vials are easy to read. The handle grip is soft and grippy. The end caps “Press to unlock” do not appear to be working.
