Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
The Irwin Speedbor Spade Bit Set is praised for its sharp, durable, and effective bits that drill clean holes in wood. However, the included storage case is widely criticized as being too small to properly accommodate all the bits, especially the larger diameter ones. Many customers report having to modify the case or find creative ways to fit the bits inside, with some considering the case essentially useless. Despite the issues with the case, the product is still recommended for the quality of the bits and the variety of sizes, as well as the inclusion of a useful extension.

Would RecommendBits are great but case is not user friendly. However I took a box knife and cut out the plastic dividers and all bits fit great now!
The case is nice to have but it is too small.
Would RecommendThe bits work fine but the case is too small i spend too much time tying to fit bits back in.

This case is not useful
Would Not RecommendThe case is not useful. I paid $15 additional for the case and the pieces do not fit in a way that makes sense or that is safe.

Case Explanation Needed
Bought this for the case, 1 1/2 bit needs to be placed on top of the case, flat across all other bits, in such a manner that you can see the bit through the lid when you close the lid. Aside from that lack of info……… its a great and easily stored kit.
It cuts smoothly with less effort...
Would RecommendThese newly designed drills cut cleaner and they don't get hot. HUGHE improvement!

Terrible design
Would Not RecommendThe main attraction of this piece to me was the case. Good luck trying to fit the bits in it

Bits worked great
Would RecommendBits worked great however the storage container does not make sense as far as how to arrange the bits in there to fit. Very bad design. Cannot close with bits inside. No instructions on arrange in storage

Good set, bad case
I bought this product because I like it had the case to store the bits, unfortunately the didn’t fit in there too well. It fit all but one.

Awesome Set! But complicated set!
Would RecommendAwesome set! However, getting all the bits in the case was hard! Having case in front of you put the 7/8”, 5/8”, 3/4”, and 1” on the left side (pic 1) with the 1&1/2” laying flat on top (pic 2). Then on the right side put the 1/2”, extension, 1”, 3/8”, 1&1/8”. (Pic 3)
Best purchase I’ve made worth every penny.
Like the bit case and that it comes with an extension

great, compact kit
Would RecommendGreat little kit. As others said, the case does not leave much room for error, and could have been molded more intelligently. Took a couple tries, but they all fit in case.
